I absolutely love this video! Most sewing videos that I've watched make me bored with what's going on after a few minutes. I was engaged the whole time. You have a lovely voice and explained everything in detail in a way that continued to keep me interested. I plan to try this soon. Thank you for uploading this! Much love and appreciation to you. :)

Thank you love it so simple easy and spectacular. And I love how easily you sewed the zipper on. Other tutorials make it look so complicated and without detailed explanations ❤

I'm watching this as my babe is asleep, so it's muted, and i find your hand movement to be so gentle & calming to look at. It actually helped me to overcame my anxiety at sewing a dress for my kid, so i'm very grateful. Cheers & bless your girl, she's so pretty in that dress!

Wow! It was a hustle for me as a beginner to make the dress for my girl, because she also needed some net underneath. It came out so well that she said `Mummy I love you´. So thank you.

Great video! I came specifically for seeing how you did the bow tie on the back. However, I really enjoyed seeing how you made your pattern. Truly clever. I use traditional patterns as little as possible, something about my weird brain doesn't comprehend them at all! But I can understand how you did this. Thank you.

I had to go over the video several times as a beginner but this video was very detailed. I made a red Christmas dress dress for my daughter last year that fits her today. So I am here again to make her a new one using your guidelines. Thank you for making a video that works.

She is so cute, and the dress looks beautiful on her! I’ve made quite a few gathered girls dresses,, but you showed me a couple of ways to make them easier. Your technique for sewing the zipper and pinning the belt pieces down and out of the way (I just never thought to do that) will make it easier when I see my next dress. Thanks 🥰

Fabulous video! Really well made and clearly explained. I love the deeper back with bow. Just gives it a bit more of a professional style....taking simple style up a notch. Gorgeous fabric choice too and I love those matching knickers! My daughter always had those matching knickers with her dresses as a baby and toddler, usually they were ruffled too and just look so cute and old fashioned on baby girls. My daughter's 33 now, married and has 5 children of her own! Four boys and the youngest is a girl who is 7...hence me searching for girl's dresses inspiration! 😁 It doesn't matter if you're 100, 90, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, or around 20...if you are Mum to a baby girl it's almost guaranteed that you put her in these types of dresses. You could be a top fashion model, super gorgeous and trendy to the max, your baby girl will wear dresses like this. There's just something so traditional and wholesome about them I think. It's kind of sad when they grow out of the dresses stage and opt for jeans or jogging bottoms more often. It's the same with romper suits or dungarees type suits for baby boys, although my daughter had some pink sets of girly dungarees too, just more ruffled than boy's ones. So whilst my granddaughter is still young enough to be forced into a dress 😂 I'm going to still make them. She's super dinky, tiny little pretty itty bitty thing, so she actually likes pretty dresses and matching handbags. I'll make the most of it while I can. 😊 Your daughter looks so adorable here, although I guess she's around 6-7 too by now? I'll have to see if you've done more recent videos for slightly older girl's outfits. They grow up far too quickly! My daughter's eldest two, twin boys, start secondary school in September and will be 12 in October! It's passed by in a flash! Thank you for sharing a very easy to follow tutorial, and thank you to your baby girl for her beautiful modeling photos! She's a complete natural! They look like magazine or clothing catalogue photos! Sweet lil baby girl. 😘😘😘 xxxxx EDIT*** oh my lordy I just had a quick peep at your video list and you do still post videos...and from my quick glance I see your daughter is older and still in dresses. And was that a baby boy you have too I saw? I literally scanned up and down the list in seconds so haven't taken them all in yet, just glad you are still an active channel as this video is a few years old. New subscriber! Oooh I can't wait to see your baby boy too. Children just literally melt my heart and make me feel so happy and appreciative of life! He looks super adorable too. Oh sewing ideas AND beautiful children, where has this channel been hiding??? I think you're quite quickly gonna be my favourite calm dose of happiness. (My own son died aged 5½ and although it was ten years ago now, my arms still haven't stopped yearning to hold him. I'm a grandmother but still deeply grieve for the role of "mummy" that was taken from me so abruptly. I'm not saying that for sympathy, more for context...in case you thought who is this old weirdo melting over my children! 🙄 I'm perfectly safe and non warped I promise. I'm just naturally maternal right through to my bone marrow, even having just passed menopause I could still quite happily snuggle up with a baby in my arms. So yeah, just explaining so you weren't like WTF! 😳) 😂😂😂 Ok I'll STFU now! 😁😁😁

I can tell how much you love and adore all of your babies (grand babies too). Also, I get no weird vibes at all lol🤣, so no worries. I actually love reading comments like this. It what motivates me to continue creating and sharing. So glad you found my channel and I'm happy your here to stay (for as long as you like of course 😊). I love this dress pattern, and fabric. Just thinking, since the back is cut low, perhaps the zipper is not necessary? The child's head would easily fit through the top.
@ForeSeeLove3 жыл бұрын
Hello Tracey! Thanks and good point! The reason for the zipper is more so for the waist. I wanted to make sure the dress would be able fit around the waist as some shirts used for the pattern may be a little more fit than loose if that makes sense.
@kikitagoogle57412 жыл бұрын
Started to sew it today and am half through it. I am a little bit scared of the zipper part, because I never did that, but you explain everything so easy, I am sure I can do it. I chose a white fabric that has embroidery that starts at the hem and then it fades out, and allready it looks gorgeous and really professional!! My 3year old can't wait to wear it, and it will be perfect for a summer baptise or wedding here in Greece. Greetings from Athens, Greece ❤️

Great video. Refreshing to see how to make the pattern out of scratch yourself vs having to buy one. ( Just FYI - the tie directions in the video and the description are different. You say, to cut ties 24 x 6. Written cc words state 24x 16 ). But, ABSOLUTELY a wonderful to the point video.

At 1:40 you indicated that you added half an inch for seam allowance and that’s where the zipper will be installed. But you finally installed it at the back. Can you please explain why? Great tutorial that was the only part I didn’t understand.👍🏾
@ForeSeeLove5 жыл бұрын
Hello Cynthia! The half inch seam allowance is added specifically for the opening of the dress (in the back), which is where the zipper is added. It also allows for a cleaner finish. I hope that makes sense.
