I’ll build my own soon but for now I’m renting a classen and doing 2 other neighbors yards so I’m getting it free and making a little money. I like yours. Hope mine comes out half as good.

Good deal. I'm sure yours will come out just fine. Hope you pick an awesome paint job for it. If you have any concerns, just send me a message and I'll help the best that I can. Good luck.

Great idea. 👏🏽I wish I thought of it. I use a pitch fork which is a chore. 👎🏽 Maybe double aerator wheel? Might be more balanced and double the amount of hole per pass. Your seem to work great. Good job 👍🏾

Hey, thank you. I honestly think 1 wheel is good enough, but I'll probably be testing it out with 2 wheel in the near future and see how it works out.

Ever consider making one with two wheels of tines? I wonder if it would be too cumbersome to use.
@pileone

In your original aerator video you had some retail core tines. Why did you decide to make your own out of steel pipes? Seems like prices are comparable $20 for 4 tubes vs $51.47 for 12 pre-made tines off Amazon.

Have you fried turning the plugger spoons so that the cut out slot is perpendicular with the wheel and facing the inside of the wheel
@vandit0o0o
@vandit0o0o 11 ай бұрын
Hey there, so I have been asked this before about rotating the tines so that they eject either facing forward or towards the rear. I don't believe it will make a difference, I just prefer the way I have them since it makes them easier to clean after use. As for making the tines face the 2x4 handle, I believe it would become a little unstable since I would need a thicker spacer so the tines don't hit the board. Hope this helps.

Have you tried to put the tines more out from the center, meaning you would get longer plugs from the lawn? They look like they're only about 2cm long, perhaps they should be 3-4cm for better drainage of the lawn?
@olanordmann1193
@olanordmann1193 8 ай бұрын
these are much longer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3zEd3xvfs5qr5I

That is not 2cm lol. He’s making 3-4 cm cores with that. Longer thines are available but those are for heavy machinery

@@TheEchelon 1:05 into the video, the first piece he is holding is 2cm. I understand your bragging of "things" being extra long, you probably standing in the mirror looking lol!

If I walked by your yard my first thought would be, damn that's a lot of dog doodoo. Anyways very nice build. Have you consider multiple tine wheels, to speed up the coring process?

Thanks 👍. Yes, I'm actually brainstorming 2 more models with 2 wheels each. Hope to have it done by mid to late summer.

So how does the lawn look after these treatments?
@vandit0o0o
@vandit0o0o 2 ай бұрын
After core aerating, you'll see the cores all over your yard, but they'll eventually breakdown. I usually cut my lawn very low, dethatch, then core aerate. My lawn bounces back around 2 weeks later after proper watering.

For us not so savvy people would you probably sell the wheel pre-made?
@vandit0o0o
@vandit0o0o 9 ай бұрын
Hey mariadozier1332, I had thought about doing that before. Unfortunately I decided not to follow thru after I started at my new job. I know the tines are the hardest to make especially for the inexperienced. I apologize if this isn't what you wanted to hear. I just want to be honest. Do let me know if there's another way I can help.
