Yes, you can make the saturated solution as shown and let it precipitate in the container without adding the eggshells. It ends up as a solid disc, but I’ve broken it into small pieces.

Those look great! How do they hold up over time? Do they disintegrate as they dry, or does humidity have much effect? My Christmas-obsessed son would probably want to make ornaments out of them. They remind me of rock candy "Swizzle Sticks" we used to get when I was a kid.

Hi and thank you for visiting our other channel! You can preserve them by applying a plastic or acrylic coating to protect them from moisture or humidity.
