I like the rear seat delete, got some good ideas for mine from this one. Probably the best thing I gained from this is I probably don't want to build a storage box under my fridge if I want easy access to the fridge. I notice you guys didn't open the fridge, didn't look like a lot of room above it. But that's why I love these type of video, I can steal the good parts of everyone's build :)
@deanjohnson75102 жыл бұрын
That's a fair call. We didn't mention it in the video but fridge access was certainly a consideration. There's definitely enough space to add/remove general items but the beauty of the Stayzcool fridge is that the lid is completely removable so if you wanted to throw in a giant roast(or full case of beer perhaps) you can just pop the lid off. Stealing "the good parts" is definitely the way to go though! Everyone's needs will always vary. Cheers Dean

Fantastic boys, you have hit another home run. That is such a well organised, neat and tidy install that we can all do. Great work, and thanks for bringing the cost of Lithium down. 120ah but with an 80% draw down and a built in BMS which I have priced at around $200, I definitely have this on my list. Happy to watch more of your installs - great production values. Cheers.

Hi, I like this video, especially with the tips for the carpet and a clean 12v install. I just have to add that I believe you need to consider some form of Cargo barrier between the front and rear seats (if possible). Not sure what the shear rating of the fridge straps is, but I am doubtful they'd hold that 70+kg fridge down in an accident. Occy straps certainly aren't going to hold the camera gear down in an accident, especially considering they apply poor lateral tension to those loads. Not trying to be the fun police, just pointing out that as your job involves driving alot, you're at an increased risk of having an accident, and I need more 12v vids so can't have presenters hit in the back of the head in an accident
@4wdsupacentreAu2 жыл бұрын
That's a good point - there are a couple things we're going to review / change up now that we've used it a little more, so we might make a follow up video. Each strap does have a 200kg rating, but you've made some good points nonetheless! Cheers for watching and thanks for the feedback! Cahn

I'm with Beyond the Backyard. I was waiting to see you open that fridge! I have a slider in the back, and only take the fridge off the slider to clean it out, it is just too heavy for me. I like the idea of the storage box, but am wondering if making it a little higher, would give me better storage for my stuff. There is a lot of stuff that is useful when you are inland, and stuff that you don't need easy access to, seasonally etc. Something you might consider with videos of the future....there are a lot of us old ladies out there camping, in hi ace vans, rooftop tents on their utes, and sleeping in their cars. It might sound like we are a small niche of your market, but I'm sure if you talked to your staff you would find that there are a lot of us in there at the showroom interrogating everyone about what you have, and how we could make use of it :P We're all swapping information so you'd increase your market.

We tested this after the fact and it’s super easy to take in and out! Takes about half an hour and uses all the seat mounting bolts! But yeah if you did need a blue slip you’d probably have to switch it out. Also wouldn’t be very hard and worthwhile to get engineered as a 2 seater if you were planning a lap of Aus! Cheers, Cahn
