Great video and installation Matt! The window unit that I have in my current shop struggles to keep it comfortable in there. I've considered a mini-split system before but, I may need to give it another look. Thanks for sharing this! Great work brother! It's a good thing Jake has friends like you.....LOL -Seth

Thank you Seth. 😊 they definitely work great. I have 2 36k units in my shop. If it's in a shop I would build a filter box around the intake to keep the coil clean.

@2:18 I noticed the left side is almost flat against the wall. Did you have a problem with the top right side edge sticking out further from the wall then the bottom right side edge? I installed 3 units and all 3 have the same issue with the right side top edge sticking out a bit.

No not really. Had to be persuasive but it fit pretty good. Most of it was the hoses going through the wall on that side

I have a commercial HVAC unit in my 1750 sq. ft. insulated shop in the Houston, TX, area and it struggles during the hotter summer months. I have been considering adding a mini split to see if I can get my temps and humidity down further than what I am able to right now.

They work well. I added a filter box to the top of mine.
