Great Hinge! This design makes it easy to achieve a perfect result. Also, if your fence posts move a little over time you are able to readjust the hinge to return the gate to a perfect result.

what is the weight rating?

Great question, but no simple answer unfortunately. Let me explain further... Most manufacturers won't give their hinges a weight rating at all. There's just too many factors to consider. Twisting, bouncing, sagging etc. Timber gates warp and pick up water weight as they get older. If you're adding automated swing arms, this adds a push/pull load to the hinges too. It's a lot for a set of hinges! If you find rated hinges, it will usually be a suggested or theoretical weight only, not an actual use weight rating. We've got these hinges on a pair of 2.5 metre 200kg gates and they've been working great, even with automation. Anything beyond 3 metres or 200kg and we recommend using a full bearing hinge. General rule of thumb, use the largest hinges you can. Bigger is better and should mean less time spent maintaining and replacing hinges over the years.
