The Summit reels I have are definitely slower but have enough torque to pull you over the reel lol. Definitely overkill. I like your belt design alot and would be cool to have a idler clutch lever to engage and disengage the belt. Pulling the lines on the chain reels have alot of drag vs the hand reels. You're definitely on to something the industry needs! Well done:)

From one MacGyver to another, great job! I kept call out to you during the video, “forget the springs, use a bolt.” I wouldn’t cut off the excess hung. It’s good leverage should you need in the future. Thank you for all the extra effort videotaping takes. Love your channel!

Thanks. I'm booking work for April. We still have some sneaky freeze days in March. My shoulder is around 40% right now. I can't get it much past 90 degrees. I get weird twinges in my arm and hand.

You should be able to give it less voltage to slow it down a bit. With a low Buck converter set to maybe 10.5 V
@housewashing56935 ай бұрын
I've gotten used to it. But great idea
@gilmendoza80922 жыл бұрын
This is great but just curious if it will be similar to the remote valve you made vs the flow pro you ended up buying? Those electric motors are expensive unless I had one laying around I wouldn’t even consider it personally…

The true test will be how it performs when it has to pull the total length of hose across a yard...and I am sure that it will be fine...but that is going to change the workload on the setup.

What about an electric pto clutch and when it’s off it free wheels but when you turn the motor on it engages the clutch.
@housewashing56932 жыл бұрын
It turns easy pulling the hose off. That electric clutch would be too fancy for me! LOL
@vansage26912 жыл бұрын
@@housewashing5693 I agree it’s fancy adds to the cost. I did see how easy it turns. I would be worried that spinning the motor backwards would do something to the brushes. I like the concept!!! Simple and effective.

Do u have the size pulley and the weld a hub? I’m rebuilding my trailer and I want to try it. I have the same titan reel you do.
@IRONMANMETALBILLDANKANIS5 ай бұрын
What do you think about just mounting the motor shat right to the shaft of the reel. Instead of having that pulley and you had a low speed high torque motor, do you think that would work? Thanks again.
@housewashing56935 ай бұрын
That would work. However, I've found that powering through a belt is safer on you and equipment. I can't tell you how many times my hose gets caught, and the belt slips as opposed to a chain or direct drive.
