Oh my goodness! The same exact thing happened to me as with this guy. I have irrigation, but didn't run it this year, so I had to do the entire front and side yard of my place by hand for literally like 3 to 4 weeks to get the seed established. Then, the backyard and other hard to reach areas I had to do secondary. The exact same experience. What a pain it was.

But hopefully it was worth it like it was for me!

@@chrislong7083 hey Chris. I didn't have the same incredible results, because I didn't use as many chemicals, but I would say it definitely looks better than it has in a long time. My problem in the backyard is that I didn't use enough grass seed. Areas were very thin and I put down for an overseed amount instead of a heavier amount. I'll try again in the spring. I just bought a new house. The lawn is whatever wild grass grows here in western Pennsylvania. Would i be better off stripping the lawn to the dirt and starting entirely over or can I gradually over seed with bluegrass and will eventually over time have the blue grass over take the wild grass?

Im at about 1.25 but part of that is wooded. The true test will be this summer with no irrigation! Until them i will do my best to pump the roots up! Good luck to you!
@mocobb47914 жыл бұрын
I'm the same as you, no irrigation. I did my front yard one season and did the back yard the following year. My back yard was easier to manage since it was only about 18000-20000 sq ft. I had 40 tons of good top soil brought in, graded then seeded with GCI TTTF. My front yard is twice as big and more difficult to deal with. Eventually I will bring in dirt and grade it also and reseed with Cool blue. The TTTF struggles during the summer months here in Randallstown MD when we can get temps in the 90's for weeks with no rain. The only thing green during that time period is the Bermuda grass infestation I have going on but hopefully the Pylex I purchased from GCI will neutralize that. Good luck.

A tip on that agrifab plugged, on hard to moderate compaction dirt, you will need to take off at least 2-3 of those tines and use weight. It just takes too much to push 6-8 tines down into the dirt.
