It has been 3 weeks since my application and man my grass has evened out in color and is as green as ever. WIth it being a 90 day release, would you recommend putting down now even if it’s on dormant Bermuda grass? If not, would that mean that there would only be 2 applications of this fertilizer per year (April through June and July through September)?

Ah Haa! Did the same thing last week in Salem,Va. put down the Preemergant on Wednesday, (used the Strobe 4 Gallon sprayer for the very first time. Loved it)- and Fertilzer on Thursday, then the rains came. Bad timing though on my part, I don't have the Humic 12, Air8 yet, but will order and get it down soon. Back to the sprayer, are you kidding me? I've never used a battery operated sprayer- Haha- super Awesome man! Calibration took me some time, but I've got that baby dialed in :). Used a Scotts spreader, did the job. Used up last falls CarbonX 45lb bag. Gotta sharpen my blade! Thanks! God Bless you and your family Pete!

It took awhile for my lawn to fully wake up here in RI. Mow #2 was 6 days ago, and even at 2.75", not everything needed it. FF to today, which is 15 days after my ProTene 20-0-5 application. I wasn't sure that the backyard was ready for 3.25". Turns out, I broke the 1/3 rule. OOPS!!! It was a WICKED satisfying mow though.

Pete, Hopefully you see this.... I bought 2 bags of the Protene 6-0-0 a month ago. Applied the first bag at the rate of approximately 6lbs per 1000. I have the second bag ready for another application. I expected a good pop of color but didnt really get it. It did maintain what I had and maybe added a slight bump in color but nothing that really stood out. I only think I got a little bump from looking at pics from my security camera before I installed and a few different days after I installed up to 2 weeks later. Any reason to think St Augustine grass would need a different application rate to get a good pop of color?

Would feeding for an extended 90 days be a good idea if you don’t want to push summer growth? If applied in say May here in MN, then wouldn’t we be pushing too much Nitrogen in the hot summer months? Curious what your take is on that issue. Thanks 🙏🏻

My only question about the product after watching this video is if I apply it in the spring, can I then apply smaller amounts during the warmer months or do you not recommend that? Happy belated birthday Pete! Don’t forget that Lesco has a 3rd hole blocker for the boarder pass that reduces the material to the right with using the drop down blocking device. Additionally adding the permagreen agitator make the fert flow to the end without any major shaking of the hopper.
