Thanks for motivating me to fix my own vehicle with a frame problem as well.

Just a suggestion. Why don't you put a couple of steel anchors in the ground and cement them in place. It would give you some points secure the car before you start to pull.

Good Job! It's great to see young people like you getting involved in the car hobby and not afraid to try new things. You learn by doing. Sure, you're going to make mistakes, but so what? Keep it up! Thanks for posting car videos and not videos of you eating Tide...

Your learning, good job. Tweak the hood hinges and that should fix the gap in the back. A little shove should do it although sometimes the holes in the hinges are slightly slotted so you can adjust them.

Great video. I need to replace the front wing (fender) on my 2004 V50 T5. Good to see you caring for this cool car. My headlights are still clear, not seen any C30/S40/V50 with faded lights before, many cars of the same vintage have terrible lights

Cool that you're doing it yourself. Removing the fender was actually the hardest thing I did, so if you need any help I can give you some pointers.

Awesome. Enjoying the car vids. A tip for you, sweet project cars on KZbin can help with those yellow headlights. He uses mother's mag and aluminum polish to clear them. Would really freshen up the front end of your Volvo. Good luck on your projects.

Nice work on that repair! I'm trying to straighten the passenger side front fender apron on a 1999 Toyota Solara. What is the tool called that you used again?
@jaythrash88046 жыл бұрын
Good job! I personally wouldn't put that much work in a 12 year old Volvo. But it's great to see someone getting body repair practice from cars laying around the house! Way cheaper than spending thousands on auto repair school. And best part about it is that you get to keep the cars you work on at the end of the day.

Bro don’t give up doing this sort of thing you can make some money sorting out this sort of thing just know your limitations and build up to bigger things you’ll get there but a car with some pannel damage or a little bit of frame damage just remember you have to learn to walk before you can run
@fakiirification5 жыл бұрын
why did you hammer the dent? PDR bro. could have popped that dent in 2 minutes with no trace.

The way you are measuring is incorrect. You need to measure diagnonals. The car could be twisted and the measurements you have taken will not show it. And you need to have the vehicle clamped down. You seem to be keen but some proper training would beneficial. There is an old saying. "A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing." Try a local College to see if they do body repair courses.
@actioncircus16 жыл бұрын
I know there are better measuring tools but I don't have them (yet) I did measure diagonals even though I may have not said it to the camera I don't own a $10,000 frame straightener, If I did then this video wouldn't be a DIY I can't clamp the car down without essentially having a frame straightener. There are no colleges or schools in this area. I will literally have to move in order to go to school. Why does it matter that I get an education to do something I have already done: I fixed the car and it is perfectly fine right now. I think you are over judging my video, its made to be a simple, DIY-style video.
@bigjml6 жыл бұрын
Glass Elevator You are completely misunderstanding the point of my comment. You don't need fancy equipment to check if the front of a car is square. You measure the diagonals. The way you have done it you have no idea and you are relying on luck. A straight piece of metal bar or indeed a piece of wood will work as long as you have a some form of pointer or marker that you can use to measure and then lock of to allow a comparison with the other diagonal. When you measured you have chosen decent points. But instead of measuring driver side to drivers side you should have measured drivers side to passenger side. Does that make sense? I am offering constructive criticism. The diagonals of a square are always the same. You said you measured diagonals which is fair enough but why would you show in the video measuring something.else, because what you showed in the video was not the diagonals. You have bodged that car not repaired it.
@actioncircus16 жыл бұрын
Yes, I measured the diagonals off camera. It was fine. With the hood mounts being messed up, they weren't the best place to measure from but I did it anyways. I don't have a pointer that can lock at the end of a stick so that's why I used my finger. I will probably build one in the future. The core support is now straight as far as I can tell. The best part is how the bumper clips all perfectly lined up (not even a millimeter off).
