DIY FULL Media Wall Build | With a 3 sided electric fireplace!

Watch us build our own DIY Media Wall as part of out big living-room transformation!
We're in the process of renovating our first home with no prior experience. Our renovation series looks to share our journey learning new DIY skills while creating our dream home on a budget. In this video, we show the process of building the centre piece to our living room for as little as possible.
We have never done anything like this before, and we wouldn't change a thing! We hope this video shows that new DIY'ers can have a go at big projects; but for those who aren't confident, gives you a few pointers in the right direction.

Why didn’t you allow for plasterboard on the bottom part where the fire met the wood? Looks great never the less

I thought it might be abit awkward plastering that bit, so just chose to use the flier instead. Thankfully it turned out ok👍

@@reno_with_us I thought so. I’ve just completed my media wall and I can confirm it is tricky to plaster the parts where the plasterboard meets the fire/trim etc. Your video was very useful, keep up the good work!

Great channel mukka, can you tell me how you did the ledge around the fire, did u just paint it or board it and plaster it?

Thanks mate! I used a wood filler up to the edge trim. I thought it would be awkward to try to plaster & it turned out great😊

I’m self taught, at this point I’d plastered most of my house so I was confident. I would recommend a professional otherwise 👍😊
