Thanks for this. I’m putting a fire pit in my yard and had no idea what to do for the grill. This is what I’ll do

Looks great. I’ve been thinking about doing the same thing. Did you find that the width was sufficient to keep the hot grill top away from the fence when you opened it? I accidentally warped the siding of my starter house by putting my first smoker too close to it. The lid swung back further than I realized, and the heat of the metal warped the siding, even though it wasn’t touching.

Thanks! Yea that was little but of a concern but it hasn’t been an issue lol. There is more than enough room for the lid to open up. It worked out so well I recently built another section right next to it for a griddle. I do inspect the fence a lot to make sure lol

How many bags of gravel and sand did you use?
@LetsDoThisDIY2 ай бұрын
I didn’t actually used bags. I went to a local landscaping place that sells dirt and stuff and got a 2 scoops of gravel and I also did 2 scoops of sand and dropped into my friend’s pick up truck. It was more than I needed but I needed to put some gravel in other places. I tried the bags before around the pool and the bags didn’t really have a lot of coverage
