Hey Wendy, Just wanted to let you know I made a hoodie after your tutorial. It was my first ever project with sewing a clothes-item and I thought I was going to be so overwhelmed, but I was shocked at how easy it was. My hoodie looks amazing, it looks so professional! Im so happy with it and I just want to thank you so much for the work that you do here. Your videos are so comprehensive and still retain so much clarity; it proves to me how incredibly talented you are at doing these tutorials. Thanks to you I learned a new skill and kept my head cool while doing it. Thank you so much!!

I wanted to thank you. My daughter kept asking me to buy her a hoodie with a large hood. She wanted me to make sure that was more "fitted" so that it didn't make her look fat. (I know, she was pretty specific), plus, she wanted pockets and to make sure that it was warm. I was unable to "find" this item to purchase anywhere. This is where you came in. I am so happy to have found your video here. Using this video and with the "Clone your clothes" video that you made, I was able to make her exactly what she wanted. So yeah, HUGE thank you from a disabled mom for making helping me make my daughter happy.

Have you ever thought of making a video about hand sewing in case you don't own a sewing machine and can´t access to one but is still interested in sewing? A little advice could come handy for many of us who may be holding back too much because of it when probably shouldn't. Thanks anyway, and love your videos and your eco-friendly mentality. And really loving this hoodie, you are amazing! Cheers!

Thank you so much for this video! I got a sewing machine for Christmas ('16) and have very slowly been collecting the other bits I needed to make something. Despite not sewing anything since school lessons I had 4+ years ago, I decided this was going to be my first project, and today (29/5/17) I finally made it! A few errors on my part but nothing drastic. I don't have any stretchy fabric at the moment, so I can't quite finish the hemming, but I can get some in a few days. I added mini pockets inside the big pocket, just a rectangle with stitches on three sides and up the middle before you put the big pocket on top. I couldn't have done this without the clear instruction in your video! Xx

People are coming from the right place with the recycled fabric, but it's actually sort of disastrous. Fabric sheds fibers, particularly when washed. So every time you do laundry you release a ton of tiny plastic fibers into the water. When bottles are in one piece they can be recovered from the environment easily. For this reason there's a push to recover all of the plastic from the ocean while it's still whole, as things like the sun are constantly breaking it down in to smaller particles within the water. Turning bottles into fibery fluff defeats this entirely. Recognition of this issue is still in it's infancy; microfiber pollution is the term to google if you are interested.

It's great that u want to recycle but the problem with having clothes made from plastic materials is that when u wash it the material little shards of plastic comes out and goes into the water so when u start to have little things of plastic in your water it goes everywhere. It goes into the ocean killing fish and into the water we drink which is not good for you. This isn't hate I just wanted to make people aware of it.

A whole bottle can be easily picked up, the small plastic particles not, and those get eaten by fish and other animals which we later eat, and so we end up with plastics in our organism...
