Amen, don't talk it to death and great video. I have a question, do you need to put silicone around the base of the fixture to keep from leaking and any chance if water gets splashed back there to keep from going in crack and dripping below? Pray I phrased that so you could understand me.

I loved this video and ran right out to Home Depot and got the exact same faucet for 10.00 and it is the same one that needs replacing. I was so excited to think I could do this job myself but then I looked under my vanity and I have copper pipes running right up to the faucet. Is this something that a plumber would need to handle. I'm kind of afraid to undo the nut incase it is sealed up with some sort of cement or something. Please advise. Thanks!
@bazb19855 жыл бұрын
I have this exact problem right now. Did you end up easily removing the copper lines yourself, or was it a job for a plumber? Thank you.

This might sound like a dumb question, but I currently have a single knob (like you had) and am looking at a faucet with two knobs (hot and cold). Do all of the sinks come with three holes for the faucet, meaning I can put on a double handle faucet on the existing sink - and not have to get a new sink ? Thanks for the video. Very helpful!
@DANDLINC5 жыл бұрын
Not a dumb question at all. Almost ALL sinks are configured with 3 holes. That's the norm...if you don't have that, you have the non-standard sink. Peek underneath your cupboard to check with a flashlight. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the great video! This is the exact situation that I have, old single handle branching out to 4" spaced apart holes. I'll probably get the same double handled faucet that you installed. One question, do you think it would be overkill to put caulking under the new faucet?
@DANDLINC5 жыл бұрын
I don't think the caulking would be necessary...but it also probably wouldn't hurt. Many plumbers apply silicone upon installation.
