Of all the videos I watched-you’re the only one that showed me what I needed-how to address the chain and wires. Thank you!

Perfect video. You explained every aspect needed for a successful re installation. Especially the part where you mentioned, hold the weight of the chandelier. (Or control it). Thank you.

Thanks Rebeca!!! I appreciate the comment and you watching! Did you get the project done like you needed to?
@rebecaventriere16063 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no. We’re in the beginning stages of repainting most of the interior of our house. Ceiling, walls and trim. 😅

I was wondering if I can just put some good looking bulbs in the similar light fixture and leave it just like this! And that’s exactly what you did, just wanted to make sure it’s safe is it?
@ColtonCrumpDIY3 жыл бұрын
For sure! Not all light fixtures need a cover for the bulb. It all depends on the look you're going for. This is going to be out of the way so people won't be touching it as they walk under it. Nowadays there are so many different kinds of bulbs that doing this is totally safe.

What spray paint did you use? Is this a matte black?? Great work!
@ColtonCrumpDIY2 жыл бұрын
I used a matte black spray paint from home depot I believe. But I know you can get it shipped to you also from Amazon. Check the link in the description. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

What if the wires are white color?
@ColtonCrumpDIY Жыл бұрын
Good question. You can use a voltage tester to see which one is "hot" or the black. What you do is flip the breaker to then disassemble everything. Leave the 3 wires exposed but the ends should NOT be touching. Flip the breaker back on, grab a voltage tester (can use a voltage pen) and touch the end of each wire. Here's what will happen: the ground should be an exposed copper wire, no beeping. The neutral will also have no beeping. The hot will beep like crazy when you test it. Once you have tested, take a piece of tape that you can write on. Write "hot" on it and tape it somewhere on the non exposed portion of the wire. Flip the breaker back of to reduce any chance of touching it while taping. Now you know and can proceed to wire correctly :)

I think the person meant about painting them? Can you spray paint the wire?
