Kristen I'm happy to report that I was able to order two of the rugs and a couple of pieces from ikea.com. I ordered the acrylic paint and paint brushes from Amazon. I cant wait to complete the project. The rugs will go with my home decor. I'll let you know how they turn out.

attach tassels to the stand part of the mirror and you don't need to use glue and you can switch up colors. you can also attach a row of yarn or macrame cording along the bottom using a simple larkshead. :)

The tassels can also be tied to the bottom of the stand, behind the mirror, which will sit flat when against the wall and give the same effect, with the bonus of being easily removed when you want to change it up. Also, when making tassels, it is much easier to put the thread through one end and tie off before cutting the other end. That way you don't have the potential of it falling apart before you can tie it.

I really like what you did with rug. I also read the reviews of this product on ikea's website and it seems to have a very good quality. I will try it ! Just one question : if I wash my rug the paint will go away no ? Or did you use a special paint ?
