Simple upgrades to the lamp would be to drill a hole with a drill bit intended for glass to make the cord come out the bottom and either attach the bowl and vase with glue or add that squishy drawer liner to the bowl to keep it from being glass on glass and so the bowl doesn’t fall off center so easily. Great DIYS! 100% making both myself!

You could just turn the vase upside down if you wanted the cord to come out the bottom... Or maybe some foamy air dry clay around the top of the vase for a more snug fit…and or a circle of clay or hot glue inside the bowl that is smaller than the diameter of the vase. Since there wasn’t much light coming through the bowl anyway it shouldn’t be too visible
@zp50162 жыл бұрын
My thoughts to fix that were to either make a craft foam circle thats a bit bigger than circumference of the outside of the vase and glue it to the top to add some stability, or in sorry girls fashion... Hot glue a circle thats a bit bigger than the circumference of the vase 😂

I think leaving the tape on was a mistake, it means the glue wasn’t going into most of the rug backing or the loops on the top. It wouldn’t need a stiffer backing, just something actually adhered to the actual rug, not the tape.
