I’m a powerlifter from westside barbell and we used the half inch chain to just tie are 45lbs chain up. There worth the money and bands are even better. And you have a little to much chain on the floor back it up a bit👍 but yeah the strength gains from bands and chains is insane keep it up man

Day before yesterday I bought two 1/2 inch Harbor Freight grade 70 chains (20 feet). I was floored at the size of the links. (Working load: 11,300 pounds!) So that gave me 102 lbs of metal to lift with. I had previously bought 20 feet of 3/8 inch grade 43 chain (34 lbs I believe) and 20 feet of 5/16 grade 70 (29 lbs). Total is 174 pounds. I didn't cut mine because I have plans to use them as chains. (to pull up stumps and bushes) I have a 8000 lbs lift farm jack to use with the chains.

Get yourself a truck strap for flatbeds , cut it to your desired measurements, drill a hole at both ends and put a carabiner through it , you can put as many chain and weight they will not rip

The $80 twenty-foot (1/2 inch) chains at Harbor Freight are now $100. The value of your dollars has diminished, hence it takes more $$ to buy the same thing. Fortunately for me, I bought 2 of these bad boys just before they went to $100. They are large and awesome chains, it only takes one to get a semi truck unstuck out of the mud. Each weighs 51 lbs / 23 kg. They're zinc plated too, so rust is not a problem.

Where did you buy the straps ? Also how did you link the loop chain together on each side?
@svyatoslavpopovich3849 Жыл бұрын
Hey just saw the comment, the straps are figure 8 deadlift straps from Cerberus strength. The chains are attached with threaded quick links.

Suicide grip on the overhead freaks me out lol. How heavy are the 1/2 chains per side? I was debating buying the same but it seemed like it might be too light.

Sorry for late response, the 1/2” chains are 25lbs each side. I tend to pull them off on some lifts like incline or overhead and just use the smaller ones as they are about 80 lbs total

I bought some carabiner attachment rubberized grips at Academy, depending on where you attach or how many you grab (I can fit 3 in my hand) you have quite a bit of flexibility in the amount of weight you lift. I use chains only (with grips), meaning no bars or dumbbells. So when I hit failure, I can drop the chains and not have to worry about floor damage as I would with regular weights. I got really built up last year but had to lay off due to rotator cuff pain. I'm back at it but easing in more carefully this time. Even so, my gains are coming very quickly.

How did you remove the hooks from the 1/2 chain?
@svyatoslavpopovich38492 жыл бұрын
My hooks just had a pin holding it in place. Just pulled out the cotter pin and the pin moved out.

Still have to fold all that chain up at the bottom so you get explosive lift weight at the top my guy
