It was nice to finally get to run the sawmill again, just a quick sawing video making lumber but I had fun.

I remember when you tried to hang the bucket on the bolts (to keep sawdust off a driveway). After a few cuts, the bottom would start hitting the tire, so someone had to stand by to catch the bucket. I was very happy when you put on the longer bolts.

Good video George. Log didn't look so good but the lumber did.

It smelled great. I had cabin fever so bad but one afternoon sawing and I'm cured. I think I have an addiction...

Nice looking pine! Sorry to hear about the toe! Maybe a pair of composite toe boots would help protect your toe, just get a wide in your size to give you room!

You had a lot of melt off since last video it would seem. Basically no snow accumulation here in MN this year.

That's not a good story George. THESE are good stories; Got it caught in a bear trap Hit by a meteor Landed badly while skydiving

@@TheOldManAndTheSaw The bear trap would be a good story. George's story gets better if you read to the music of 'I fought the law' and the law won by the Clash or the original by the Crickets.

Steel toed slippers. no cooking oil this time?

It's amazing, I can run a sawmill and not get hurt but getting up from the couch is dangerous! Shots of me using cooking oil are on the cutting room floor...

Morning, George. This is the guy who recognized you at the Woodmizer booth at Paul Bunyan, and you said I was the first person to ever do that. So, how did your toe get broken? Broke my big toe in March of '22 by dropping the tongue of my log splitter on it. Crushed the big bone of the big toe into about 5 or 6 pieces. Dropped a large piece of firewood on the same toe in March of last year, almost 1 yr to the day later. Had steel toe boots in the house, but they are so uncomfortable. What kind of pine is that log? Do you have southern yellow pine there? It looks similar to SYP. Take care of that toe.

Hey Ron! It could be a sugar pine or it could be a white spruce, I can't tell the difference even if it had the needles on it. Big toe is a bad one to break, I broke my 4th toe so not near as bad. Stubbed it on the couch real hard. heard the snap... I'm going to show an evergreen tree in my next video and ask folks to identify it lol... see how many different answers we get.
