THanks! the fires have been crazy but luckily, so far, we've been lucky so far this year! It's Alabaster by Sherwin Williams. i also just painted my chicken coop (video v soon like tomorrow) Dover White which is really nice too. :)

Yes, it's soooo easy! Literally, undo the wires under the caps and touch them to the new wires and put the caps back on. Old wiring can be a little trickier. Make sure the light is off. Most people recommend turning the power off. I've done it lots of times (handymen, contractors I've been with too) without doing that but can't recommend it. But I can share it and show it. :)

Beautiful! Would it be crazy to use high gloss in this paint color instead of matte? Does the matte finish make it more modern? Thinking of painting the base of my kitchen island - it’s kind of ornate wood now which is cool but is currently painted in a shabby chic style (beige/distressed) which is not my vibe. Has a lovely walnut wood top that I’d keep as is.

I love high gloss. Matte just hides flaws -- in wood, walls, the paint job itself. It's more forgiving in that sense, and I personally like the matte here because gloss starts a glam vibe. I LOVE that. It just isn't what I'm going for here. I'm waiting to eventually own a home that I can have at least one room lacquered to be super shiny!! :)

Because it had to be a specific size because of the existing brick. I looked; believe me. And shockingly, I've probably hit my shoulder once, maaaaaybe twice. In person, it doesn't feel tight on the walk through.
