Well done! Exactly what I need to do to supply my lathe with aluminum.

If you’re planning on melting cans or something, you’ll need to alloy it to get it to machine well

Be safe my freind, molten metal will hurt you bad (and I'm sure you allready know 😉). But other than that, great projekt👍, I really enjoy your videos.

Awesome work as always mate, but please chuck on some safer clothes for casting, steel cap boots as a minimum. I'm interested in the use of two part re-usable molds, try using a 50/50 mix of plaster of Paris and white building sand for these and see if you get good results. You'll probably still need to replace them eventually but it'll give you greater repeatability and less work compared to lost foam casting or sand casting.

I highly recommend coating the ceramic blanket in some kind of rigidizer and a ceramic coating. Other than that, great build.

Worthwhile repeating that the ceramic wool is horrific for your lungs, even while being heated. Anyone looking to recreate this needs some proper coatings on it before asbestos starts to look like the friendly uncle in comparison.

Good, but How Big your compressor man ..? I Think better if reduce your ladle size, However it's Great Work, Good Job

Is it suitable to smelt gold, copper and iron and thank you ❤️
@Blxz Жыл бұрын
His burner appears to melt copper pretty easily in the other video. Not quite sure it would get high enough for steel and the like. You'd need to confirm melting points for each of the things you want to put in. Do keep in mind that the outer gas canister is thin steel so you'd want to avoid going too hot.
