Wow, that's one versatile grinder, nice job. If I may give you a tip, when grinding the edge of a blade with a machine, dip the blade in water every few strokes to keep it cool. This way you don't mess up the heat treath so your knife won't go dull after a little use.

Hi Dirk, I must say this is not a multi but a multitude of multi functional devices I have seen. I can relate that you came up with new ideas along the build and integrated them very well. I have plans for making a 72x2" beltgrinder but never got around to it. For this year my goal is to build and finish my CNC Lathe, it is coming along quite nicely. Anyway, I enjoyed every minute of your video, thanks.

Similar devices were sold in Australia in the eighties 1 for 4 inch angle grinders and one that fitted on an 8 inch bench grinder,still have and use the 4 inch.

How the hell do you drill such straight holes using a hand drill? If a regular person does this build, a drill press would be the go to machine. Great design and precision. Be well

He uses MIG/TIG i think, because he used normal welding in protective atmosphere and also pulse welding, and he got CO2 with wire feeding. Not sure why he uses which tho.

Same😩 So much anguish in wanting to build all these things but so little time outside of my 9-5 fab job😔 To top it off, my boss thinks he’s a master inventor and has me building literal trash in my spare time when all I want to do in my spare time is build tools to help me do my job better 🙄

@@emperadorromano567 not at my job in the last 4 years have had a new supervisor every year. Are most resent - present supervisor is young and lacks experience. But its ok I'm getting older and plan to retire in four years. Just have to pace myself and stay healthy. Im a mechanic and certified welder I love welding and build tools to make life easier.

Why 7 thumbs down?? Maybe two left handed engineers with no idea how to make quality tools 🤣🤣 I'm have a questions 😁 Did I'm good see on your workshop flor is it a steel plate?? Or something else?? And what brand is your marking gauge and pen?? In UK is hard to get marking gauge (metric) but order in Poland and send to UK is horrible expensive tool 😁😁 Chears. P. S I'm waiting for next project. Maybe some tube notcher or another welding tools😁😁

Your skills in engineering, welding, and entertainment are second to none, Kudos! but you know you can buy one of those sanders and an assortment of belts for around 50 bucks at harbor freight, right? As a matter-o-fact, while the video was playing, I ran down to the freight and picked up one and got back home before the video finished playing. So you can say that you inspired me, thanks.
