I bought the transparent blue kit and love the look on my controller. Word of advice if you do try it is make sure you have a long, narrow, #0 Phillips screwdriver to take it apart. Most of the screws are easy to get at but there is one behind the battery on the upper right side that is deep in the plastic. I used a glasses repair screwdriver because my precision kit wasn't narrow enough to reach in.

Highly recommend customizing a pro controller with these shells, I went with the Atomic Purple design and it turned my primary Switch controller into a flashback from my early childhood nostalgia.

Thankfully, GC are coming for Smash, and I believe it's definitely been confirmed that GC controllers work on Switch. I can't wait to get the new Smash edition one. But you've got a point, the OG colors on the GC are cool.

I think it would be nice to have more functional shell swaps. For example, a grippy rubber back plate or a more complex front pate that allows you to access more buttons with your index finger like a scuff controller.

I've just gotten a Switch about 2 months now. I've got Mario Kart 8, Super Mario Odyssesy, Super Mario Party and Mario Tennis Aces. Do I love Mario? Nah. not so much. But yeah. Should I get Legend of Zelda BOTW? I heard it's one of the top games for Switch and in general. Should I get it???????????

I also got my Switch that long ago, and it came with all those games minus Aces and Party (I own Party now though), but it also came with BotW, DKC Tropical Freeze, and Minecraft... I'd say if you're looking for long-term investment, Zelda is the investment, but if you love challenging platformers that are 2.5D and have astounding graphics, DKC. I don't limit myself though, I own many other games as well for it, cause I just tend to buy whatever looks good to *me* personally...

I need to save my money for Let's go Pikachu and Eevee, the Pokeball Plus and I'm prayingggggggggggggggg that the joy cons sell seperately. I really want them. Their adorable. I prefer the joy cons over Starlink. I'm sure those joy cons wil at least be 70 to 75$

Just don't go in expecting BOTW to be like the usual LoZ games in the past. Most complaints tend to be stem from that aspect. Oh and I recommend Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It's a flawed game, but oh man do I love it! Feel free to ask me some questions if you're concerned about the game. By the way, get Hollow Knight if you haven't ASAP!

I actually bought one of these shells a couple months ago and when after doing it both my shoulder buttons stopped working as efficiently and my d pad became less sensitive so I don't really reccomend doing it

So I did a swap a few months ago. Along with it I bought a replica pro controller. So I took my old shell and swapped it with the replica and it’s pretty much an exact fit. You couldn’t tell the difference.

Your videos are awesome on the quality there’s just one criticism I have, The music. The music is really awesome I love it but after the montage and the ending it just cuts off, try fading it out while you go into the next scene and maybe add a end card to the end of your video with a few links to other videos if positions just to let the music play out and end more naturally. Like you don’t need to do it too long and it’s just a little polish for this already awesome video.

Bit late to this but do you reckon it would be possible to build a pro controller that has more bumper buttons? So I play fps games (think borderlands as I type this). So you have right bumper button 1 as fire weapon. Right bumper button two as throw grenade. Left bumper button 1 as aim down sights and Left bumper button 2 as action skill. One problem I have with using a controller on a game like this is when you wish to cycle between more than two gun options you have to use the D-pad. This means you have to momentarily take your thumb off the thumb stick and use the D-pad. Recently I have been playing Duke 3D on Switch and I mapped weapon swapping using the right and left bumper buttons and was surprised just how easy it was to cycle weapon whilst in heated gunfight gameplay. Would be cool if I could make a controller where the D-pad sensors are moved to the bumper area and so you have 3 buttons each side as opposed to the two. I find the D-pad quite useless at times really.
