Simple waste oil burner, no welding required! The goal for this burner was to keep it as basic as it gets! I have never built this style before, so I was quite impressed with the performance. Let me know what you think of the video itself, I'm still learning, and any suggestions are welcome! I would like to thank you all for tuning in! I hope you enjoyed the video!

Great job! I know it is difficult to do this project without a welder. A decent flux MiG welder is less than $150

At first I didn’t think there was any way he was going to fire this up inside an enclosed space, but then I noticed the steel toed safety flip flops and realized I was wrong. 😂

You are correct! Lol, great comment! I don't concern myself with fresh air or safety, I heal pretty quick! I'm a trained professional also,I'm a walking,talking OSHA violation! 🤣

If I can help one person,in some way, that's good enough for me! I appreciate you taking the time to watch. I have quite a few burner designs over the years, but this was my first, no welding build. I'll be showing more builds,so I hope you enjoy those as well!

This is the first time I’ve tuned in and it was very hard to know what you were doing. Please think about more close ups. I’m going to look at some of your other videos to try and understand what you were doing. Overall I’d say a good video. Thank you

Very cool video Karl, I'm assuming this burner is used to heat a work shop. Very Nice. I prefer to wear Crocs during these applications, it saves the tops of my feet from burns when knocking the slag off the hose clamps. 😎 Be Safe Brother.

OSHA approved! 😆 I feel like you should win something for being the first to comment about them! I am surprised it took this long. No feet were harmed in the making of this video.

Maybe try a lens from some dollar store sunglasses... To tone down the brightness for your camera. (But I wouldn't recommend polarized)

Is it possible to get a better list of pieces?

1 inch black pipe pieces, 1×12 inch nipple,1×9 inch nipple, 1 90-degree elbow,1 cap. 1/4 inch black pipe pieces 3- 8 inch nipples,1-6 inch nipple,2- merchant couplings,1-90-degree elbow,and 1-45-degree elbow. 1 empty paint can,new or used. Some 1/8th×1/2 inch strap steel for the Z-brackets,3 radiator clamps size 12, 1-step bit,1-1/8th inch drill bit. Some self tapping metal screws. I was using a Dayton blower model number 1TDN7A I think that's everything. I hope that helps. Happy burning!

I like this burner! Karl do you think the black iron pipe would last longer in a burner than what pipe you used on your boiler? I guess probably not cause you would have used that instead.
@karlsoffroad
@karlsoffroad 9 ай бұрын
I would think so,it's much thicker than exhaust pipe. I use exhaust pipe because I don't have to buy any fittings. I can just bend and weld my own.

It would be great if you record your hands closeup when assembling a relatively small apparatus . . instead of recording your full body. I can´t see what you are doing. . . good day

I have been doing that since this video. Sorry about that. I have it laid out at the beginning of exactly how it's assembled. This was one of my first videos, and I have been doing my best to get the details on camera now. I can answer any questions you might have. Have a good day as well!

Nothing like a flame on the fuel supply line and a plastic air hose just waiting for radiant heat to travel to it .

The oil burns better if it is pre-heated, and the air supply pipe never gets hot.

@@johnfranke9655 This was one of my first videos. I would be happy to answer any questions about the assembly. I had someone else who had a hard time seeing what I was doing as well. I have since tried to get much closer to what I'm doing and keep trying to improve. Sorry to have wasted your time. I do have many other burner designs that are much easier to see the details and assembly. Thanks for your comment.

How is the oil metered? View of the blower? Sound quality sucks!
@karlsoffroad
@karlsoffroad 9 ай бұрын
Oil is metered using a 1/2 inch ball valve. The blower is a Dayton 1TDN7A,and it's hard to filter out the blower/burner noise. Thanks!
