Using small pieces prevents less wrinkles. Creates a smoother surface 😊

I find using a 3/4 inch paint shaper for applying matt medium is the best. I used to use a Filbert paintbrush for my collages but they need a lot of cleaning after a session because they tend to get quite clogged up. If I forget to clean a paint shaper and the medium dries on it, all you have to do is bend it and the dried medium just peels off.

Thank you! That is a fantastic tip and would be MUCH better for this particular project for sure

I bought some flat-ish glass ornaments which might be easier to get the paper on! Thanks for the demo.

Maybe wet strength tissue paper is an idea. 😊

Thank you! I’m just learning about that and ordered some, I’m ready to experiment!

I had the same thought - much more ‘malleable’. Also, with the blues, which I loved, I’d like to try silver & white instead of gold & ‘tight buff’ ☺️

@@xVentax Thank you! I've tried the wet strength tissue paper...and I'm not a fan and currently it is more expensive than the paper I use, but that is a personal preference, I am well aware and yes, I think white and silver with the blues would be beautiful!

I just discovered your channel and am finally jumping into using my Gel Plates! Can I ask what kind of paper you’re using here? Thank you
@VikkiReed3 ай бұрын
Yay, Cindy! Yes, I'm happy to share the kind of paper, in fact, if you look at the description below the video, you will see every supply that I used! The paper is JapanBargain Calligraphy Rice Paper from Amazon...happy printing!

What type of paper did you use and are the ornaments glass or plastic? Thank you,❤
@VikkiReed5 ай бұрын
Hi Linda, thank you for your questions! The ornaments are plastic and I am using JapanBargain Calligraphy Rice Paper from Amazon, my favorite for all things collage! I have provided a link to it on my Amazon Affiliate page, and if you use this link, I may earn a small commission, while you pay the regular price, and that helps me keep things going! amzn.to/3WoB0X5
