*Note, at 5:28 for the bottom supports, I ran out of lumber and had to use just two boards, but three bottom support boards (spaced 5" apart) should be used as shown in my build plans for the best support! Also, it's best to use waterproof wood glue along with the screws for attaching all of the 2x3s together!

So me and my father made the chair but I wanted it for my bedroom instead of outside. It came out pretty good I did a different side design and I made my cushions out of an old couch my dad had in his basement. We stripped the couch and took that cushion then I used a hot glue gun, stapler gun and some cardboard to complete the cushion and it came out pretty good being I used a Flat sheet from my bed set so the seat would match !

Buying The foam from Walmart is a way cheaper option. I used foam from an old couch but I considered getting the one from Walmart and I used a bed sheet as my seat cover. I don’t know how to use a sewing machine so I attached the fabric with a hot glue gun, a stapler gun and some cardboard!
@chantemichelle8882 жыл бұрын
I started making this chair, actually two of them yesterday & it’s looking so good. I make my own cushions. Local Roofing Contractors give the foams out for free if you call up and ask. Then you can either buy the coverslips for them or sew your own!! 😁🤍

Hello. Thanks so much for sharing your time and expertise. My wife has chosen a pillow that measures 24" in width. Would it be alright if I cut the 5 pieces for the back and front frames at 25". And I am guessing that the two side frame pieces would have to be shortened as well. Am I on the right track here?
@bexo344 жыл бұрын
I used mahogany lumber and mitered the corners where the front supports meet the arms and where the back support meets the arms. I also used more boards and placed them closer together so the cushion would not squish through the bottom. I finished with a clear oil. I also built one from poplar and painted it.

Hello! We are not builders but we have been looking for patio furniture for MONTHS and building seems like it’d be the cheaper option. But I wanted to ask, is it possible to not use the angled kreg holes and just screw the boards from the side (if that makes sense on what I’m asking)? Will it be just as sturdy that way? Thanks!
