Those chairs are fab-u-lous! They look amazing and so high end. I would stain the umbrella pole to match if it were me. Also you can buy a heavy duty plastic garden storage box from DIY stores for not much money, to store your cushions in to save you taking them in and out everytime. They also double up as additional seating. Make sure you get a lockable one. Solar powered lights would be great. Maybe you could upcycle the old chairs macrame style using washline cord so it's weatherproof?

If you take a part an old twin size spring mattress and remove all the material, you're left with just the metal springs. You can spray paint the frame. You can add coconut liners, soil, and plants or succulents. You get an old crib, spray paint with exterior paint/ stain, and hang plants with hooks.

Love the chairs! I will make them. Actually no, my husband will make them. He loves projects like this. With no carpentry training he made a bathroom vanity for our little pink 1950s back bathroom. Looks like a million bucks. He also made a beautiful and useful rolling storage crate that we use for toilet paper, paper tools etc. Then because raccoons ate all our tomatoes he made a "cage" for them which actually looks chic and modern rustic. So on to the chairs. I know he will love making them and I will love sitting in them.😀
