so you joined both the "+" of RCA jacks together and the same with "-", to short them, right? won't it work with only a single jack? cant I record from a headphone out of a mixer through a phones jack? I am using MI note 6pro android phone.

sorry I couldn’t understand your question properly. What do you mean by single jack?

@@ChaqI mean either the Left or the Right RCA jack, cause if you short both jacks "+" together, the phase difference may occur and the output sound will be weird. so in that case isn't it better to use only one 1 jack from mixer hence using a mono output ..what do you think?

Technically yes, but wouldn’t recommend since it delivers a very high frequency which might be too much for the phone’s jack. But do give it a try and let me know ;)

Split white and read on the on your aux input and put blue with white and red with red leave the ground connected the same no need for splitting and should work

Hey, try this: Connect a pair of normal earphones and check whether the video captures audio from the earphone's mic.. If it doesn't, the issue might be related to the settings.
