suggestions : use a food service fifo squeeze bottles instead of bag. Also I use Dynamic mini with homogenizer tool for better emulsions. That is available at cudakitchen . In France they sell that exact tool for making lotions.

I think the biggest difference is that a thick lotion doesn't need to have "butters" in it, and an emulsified body butter will be heavy on the butters.
