last time i plastidipped wheels off the car the lug nuts twisted and ripped off the plastidip when putting the wheels back on. have you ever encountered this problem

What do you have to say about a "chrome" wheels that are flaking? Could I sand it and dip it, or should I sand, prime, and use regular paint?

Sand it and dip would be the best option. It is by far the best user-friendly way of getting the job done. If you go with paint, you have to be much more precise and and have to have a much finer and perfect surface if you don't want a textured finish.

Will the silver plasti dip & Metalizer cover up Chipped or Scratched Rims?..

Plastidip is not as thin as paint. It does a good job oh hiding scraches and minor curb rash heavy curb rash won't be covered up. But the wheel will look better in the end as it will all be one color which hides imperfections

I find the spray cans work better with the wheels sitting up or at a 45 degree angle at least.

i have chrome wheels that i want to protect the shine would the gloss dip work for that and how would i go about getting rust spots off of them and as clean as possible

I would not use the glossier on the wheel all by itself. I've heard that the glossifier alone without a base coat of plastidip can eat your wheels? It may be won't but I would definitely not want to risk that. Take a quick video of your rust on your chrome, send me the link and I can help you out after that.

Do you think it's a good idea to do the wheel while the tires are off? I heard a guy saying the tire shop ripped his dip when fitting new tires. I ask that because I have a set of 19's in the garage waiting for summer, I haven't got tires yet so I am wondering if I should dip the wheels now or wait until I get tires.

Well it all depends on what tire shop you're going to bring your car to. If you know they will do a good job, you should be able to dip your wheels when they don't have tires mounted but the most popular option that people do, including myself, is dip the wheels when the tire is mounted. This way even if they scratch your wheel, the plastidip can cover it up no problem. On the other hand, it would be nice to have the dip on the wheel if you knew ahead of time they were going to scratch it, so the actual rim doesn't get damaged. Its a catch 22 really. Its your choice which you want to do.

These guys have done my wheels already, so I don't think they'll scratch the actual wheel. But I wonder if the process of sliding the tire and mounting it on the wheel could pull and peel the dip. Thank you for the answer!!

The process of putting the tire on the wheel, technically shouldn't be touching the face of the wheel at all during the install.

+Sick Dips well. It depend's on the tire mounting machine. I know not a single model, that doesn't let the tire rub on the face of the wheel. its a normal way to put tires on. and I think they will rip the dip of. yeah I know your reply / question is 11 months old. :D

Im planning on making my wheels Anthracite grey with glossifier. How many cans would i need for 4 honda accord coupe rims? (The same ones you have in this vjdeo). Some people are saying two cans, others say three. How many would you use?

Well the amount of layers you put down on the wheel depend on how thick you want the plastidip, how durable you want your wheels, and what part of the rim you are doing. I find that one can per wheel gives you a very nice and thick coat on the entire outside face of the wheel, along with the barrel of the rim. You can get away with 2 cans for all 4 wheels however don't plan on getting a thick coat, or doing the barrel.

If you want a matte finish, you would just not apply the layers of metalizer/glossifier

What do you mean better look? If you would like a glossy finish, follow the what I outlined in the video (aluminum plastidip & metalizer). If you would like it matte hooky only the matte plastidip. You can add as many layers of plastidip as you like

If you bought one can of metalizer and 4 cans of the base, you should be good to do a set of wheels.
