I had saved this video because I was inspired to try it . Well the time has come ..I'm not the healthiest of people but that doesn't stop me but things take a lot longer to do 🤗 My kitchen is 8 meters by 7 meters and to paint the ceiling it took me 3 weeks to do 2 coats just a small bit a day . I'm doing fingers crossed from my counter top up and stopping about 12 inches from the top with a shelf all the way round because the ceiling is so uneven I'm sure the builder was blindfolded. Will report back when it's finished.. materials are arriving tomorrow 🤗 Stay safe stay well x

Girl!! I just got 14 sheets @ 6ft long of underlayment for free @ Lowe’s!! A sweet little guy gave me his scraps. I couldn’t believe it! I’ve been using it to make signs, but this is an amazing idea! My home is old like yours and our walls are so uneven! (We even have the old gipson type material. Not plaster or drywall. Lol) Thank You Thank You for this!! I’m starting today on mine!! You so totally Rock Ms Shannon!! ☮️💗

I absolutely love this!! I live in 100+ year old house also. I didn't think it would be possible to do the shiplap because of the plaster walls. There is a small wall I want to do this on...plus it has 2 windows on that wall.
@angelapapadopoulos1895 жыл бұрын
Wow, no more chalkboard wall! I love Brian's way of corking. He taught me something today. When I decided to shiplap our bedroom wall my husband thought I was out of my mind. I had plywood stripped to 6 inches at HomeDepot, prepainted the planks the color I wanted myself and had my husband install using quarters as spacers. Total cost of materials for 16' wall was under $50. I have left over planking for other projects. Since I already had the paint on hand, that was 0 cost. I wasn't going to pay for shiplap either, ridiculously priced.

THE COFFEE BAR! Be still my heart! I almost passed out when I saw the chalkboard gone! LOL! BUT saying all that....since I have an extreme LOVE AFFAIR with shiplap.... I SO EXCITED! I wish you had done a “painting shiplap video” before I did my ONE room that is 20ft long and one side of the room the wall is 13 ft high P!US the ceiling is shiplap. But I did the small brush and I brushed all the walls... no roller. Then went back with a blade to make the spaces between the shiplap visible where the paint was a little thick. WHAT A PROCESS! I am hiring a painter to do the rest of the house! My body says NO... my mind wants too... but no way could I do my whole interior. I LOVE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE .... ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Your shelves will go back up...right? LOL! Can’t wait to see it... I am so excited for all that is happening for you! The SHE SHED..the WEDDING! Oh my.... Just so happy for YOU!

Donna * Lovin’ Texas Unfortunately due to “ pins, plates, screws” for a neck and shoulders and a lower back that will not let me move like I want... .. I can’t do it myself with out severe pain...How I wish I could! I love, love, love to paint! I figures are itching to grab that roller, paint and do it. I can’t turn my head right now! My kitchen alone is 22 ft wide by 24 ft long with only a very small area of cupboards....PLUS the ceiling is shiplap! I did paint my bathroom shiplap which is the same length, but only 10 ft wide...and I have one wall that is 13 ft high by 24 ft long... PLUS the ceiling and I didn’t walk for 8 months after that! It was NOT good and extremely painful... and also scolded by the Dr... not sure which hurt more... the Doctors words or the body? I think my body so his words he could have saved! ......☹️
