I want to add shiplap in my living room but we have two windows and I'm not sure what to do about them . The trim isn't thick enough to be past the shiplap.

Take your window trim off and add it back after you add your shiplap

Did you glue and nail straight into dry wall. I'm having issue because I want to put up shiplap wall but have metal frame stud in my basement and want to nail and glue on to drywall. Would I run into any issues?

Yes! - I typically use liquid nails construction adhesive and put on a quarter size drop of glue, every 12-16 inches. Then I brad nail at random to hold until the glue cures. Just use enough glue and you should be fine - make sure there is enough glue to really hold the planks, and don't depend on nails for more then holding things in place while everything cures.

how did you finish trimming the window as not to expose the raw cuts of the 1/4' wood

+Michelle Pinion - Its not shown in the video, but I added another 1/4" strip in the window, that went from the window to the outside of the "shiplap". Then I added Farmhouse style casing to the front of the window. I will share pictures on my Facebook page after I finish caulk and paint. - facebook.com/RevivalWoodworks/

Any issues with warping when installing in bathrooms?
@revivalwoodworks12728 жыл бұрын
I haven't ever installed in a bathroom. However, with it being a small area, I would give it a shot if you have a good exhaust fan. Maybe apply some extra glue and brad nails to keep it secure. I would also use an exterior grade paint since it will be in a moisture rich area.
