Congratulations on your new addition. Loved both dresses, but think the lilac one is my favourite. Think its because of the colour and fabric. Had a giggle at the end with the blossom shower. I am thinking of making one myself. When I've got the list of multi period historical outfits done (16thc-19thc female, 17thc Male) + an emergency viking linen dress as its forecast to be too warm for my wool one when the Jorvik festival is on in York, UK. Thank goodness its rectangle and triangle construction.

I see so many variations in my head! I see tiers with insertion lace, beaded trims, I see different straps and sleeves, I see matching ties in sandles, I see waist ties with bows in the back...not to mention all the different patterned fabrics you could find! Thanks for the inspiration!

These dresses are CUTE. I could see these being flattering for every body type, this is definitely not 'just' a maternity dress. I think they're both lovely, but I think the lilac dress is my favorite. I just like the sleeve shape and the solid color. Congratulations on your new baby!

I like the lilac dress, but for me, I would prefer different sleeves. I like how the heavier linen fabric behaves and moves. The shirring on both dresses is nicely done and the tiered skirt is nice and flowy. Also, thank you for the fabric sources...very helpful information. Both of those dresses are so very lovely, but my preference is the floral one. Congratulations on the new baby - may all go well for the rest of your pregnancy, delivery and early days with the new one - and may the new big siblings enjoy the new baby too. I think I may well make a dress like this for myself - though it's autumn in my part of the world so a lovely summery dress may be just a bit much (that said, I've had some stinking hot days lately and such a dress would've been lovely).

CONGRATULATIONS on the new baby!!!! How exciting for you and your husband! I loved it when the petals were falling all around you! It was so pretty. I liked the floral pattern better. I thought those shoulders/sleeves looked better on you than the floofy ones. I am biased towards small flower prints, so that's just me. The design though is very pretty on you and I'd like to make a dress like that for me. I would use the larger shirring like you did on the lavender dress as I thought it looked softer and didn't fit as closely as the printed shirring. Thank you so much for showing us all of the measurements and how you calculated everything. Makes it so much easier to understand how each layer goes together and will come out correctly. They both look so pretty on you and will make getting dressed this Spring and Summer so easy! Congrats again!
