Good video, Depending on the pump you are using you may want to go 3/4” manifold and reduce to half inch
@estishomeservices2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's why I was saying you could go 1/2 or 3/4. Depends what your running.
@Abovenbeyondservices2 жыл бұрын
@@estishomeservices oh yeah? I didn’t see anything about 3/4” manifolds for higher flow pumps, on your video, that is why I figure I throw that tiny advice there.

does it matter that your model doesn't have the pintail "off" word in different locations from each one of the three? it would seem to make me wonder if i have the proportions dialed in exactly as the percentages require?

Also just wondering - wouldn’t you want extra check valves after the control valve so it doesn’t flow back into that also so example check valve-control valve-check valve ? Or is that excessive
@estishomeservices Жыл бұрын
Completely get what you're saying, that would be a little excessive
@wv8404 Жыл бұрын
Check valve need to be under the valve not ontop
@estishomeservices Жыл бұрын
@@wv8404 very much appreciate the feedback but that's actually not true. The check valve is to prevent chemicals from back washing into the supply tanks. Doesn't matter where the check valve is.
@wv8404 Жыл бұрын
@Estis Pressure Washing yes I get that but also to prevent bleach from back flowing to the metering valves themselves.. bleach should only be able to get to the mixing block not into any part of another valve or line.. plus when u go to rinse it out makes life easier if the check valve is above the valves the. How u gonna rinse of the valves that the bleach has backflowed on
@estishomeservices Жыл бұрын
@@wv8404 the valves are rated for SH so it doesn't matter if they get SH on them. You can easily rinse them, I have a flush valve further upstream where I just flip it and water comes through all the valves

Can you make one of these 1 inch that would fit my comet p40? My apologies my app is lagging and I can’t see my old comment
@estishomeservices Жыл бұрын
The P40 is 300psi and the valves, even if you upgrade to GF valves only support 150psi
@eduardomagana31582 жыл бұрын
How much is the total $ to make one? And do these work for air systems too?

Haven't tried them for air systems. It costs about $260 to build

I see that the Parts link refers to a ProStar CH1019 metering valve and not a Pentair R172086. Are these the same valve made by the same company, or is the Prostar an aftermarket copy? If the Prostar is a copy, what have you found in the performance of it?
@estishomeservices2 жыл бұрын
They're the same thing.

I have a question. I’m thinking of building a manifold for my comet p40 to try it out. In theory could i just substitute all these for 1 inch pieces?
@estishomeservices Жыл бұрын
You could in theory, but unfortunately, even if you went with the upgraded GF valves, it wouldn't support the PSI from the P40 which is around 300psi where the GF valves only support up to 150psi
