Schönes Endresultat und auch gut durchgeführt. Nur muss ich hier bezweifeln, dass diese Hammeraxt sich im "harten" Einsatz bewähren wird, da durch das Verkürzen der Metallauflagefläche am Schaft, sich das Metall immer weiter im Holz verkanten wird, der Hammerkopf dann locker wird und somit langfristig mehr Holzstile nötig sind. Auch das Abnehmen vom unteren Metall schwächt natürlich die Axt. Ansonsten schön anzusehen und für dekorative Zwecke bzw. kleinere Arbeiten sicherlich gut zu verwenden.

Stark! Irgendwie mag ich solche Projekte. Die Axt war praktisch schon abgeschrieben und dann entsteht daraus noch ein einzigartiges Werkzeug. Sowas gelingt dir wirklich gut. So langsam könntest du doch den passenden Schrank für diese Werkzeuge bauen .... ach Schrank, ne Vitrine.

Beautiful work- I love the curves. I don't do knife/axe restoration/making, but this was beautiful. Also, I sort of want one just so I can use it to cut and/or hammer a ham.

As usual, a very nice job man! Love reviving old rusty axe heads myself too. Though did you keep an eye out for not getting the cutting edge to hot? Otherwise it could lose it's edge hardness, which is, like with knives, very important

I know it's just a small axe, but wouldn't it be best if the area that hugs the handle have more surface to grab on to the wood? It also doesn't look to aesthetically pleasing with the extra wood over it. Oh well, not my axe
