You are so funny and all over the place in this video it's making me really happy. Just jumping all over the bed and rambling on about everything. Apologizing to your cat "sorry I just hit you". I laughed out loud multiple times haha. Also everytime I watch one of your videos I want red hair 😍😍 Loved this video. But now I'm waiting for the top 5 thrifted items tag from Salamanda!
@juliamoriah90567 жыл бұрын
I love long videos from you, especially this one. please keep doing these!! they're far more inspiring, and it helps me stay inspired to thrift rather than shop the fast fashion trends knowing the thrifted diy ones will come out even better than the re-makes.

Really loved this! Keep them coming! I like seeing how others DIY their clothing items, because none of my friends are into this kind of thing and instead just buy things distressed or shop around forever to find the "perfect" item. Meanwhile I love DIY-ing clothes and making them my own, especially if I've found an item for a great price but think it would look better with some tweaking haha. I just did a DIY on a fitted hoodie and chopped off the hood because it was enormous and awkward looking. It looks so much cuter now without the hood, and the edges look nice and distressed!

For distressing you should buy yourself a skin remover for hard feet skin or a vegetable shredder and scrub it over the places where you want holes. Or you put your t shirt on the ground and hit it with a hammer and the scrub the holes you got from it. Check out tutorials on post apocalyptic clothes distressing ;)

I literally paused the video where you were cutting the first pair of jeans, ran to my closet pulled these purple jeans I've had for 4 years but never wear because I look like Barney. I cut them into shorts and distressed the crap out of them... I think I will be wearing them all summer now. Thanks Sarah :D

8:38 as an fdt Womenswear student I can confirm that jersey is usually a hideous fabric to work with and most people gravitate to woven fabrics for that reason (it's hard to lay flat and straight, it's hard to cut, it's hard to sew etc). It's not necessarily a problem with your scissors.

You should cut the black jeans shorter in the front so they have that uneven hem at the bottom. I've seen jeans like that at topshop and Zara and they look pretty cool.
