I’m leaving this comment because I want to give a positive review and to recommend Petie’s products, specifically the Slant Board. The slant board from the Tib Factory is my favorite of all my slant boards, wedges, and door stops. Meaning, I’ve bought several types from different places, in different sizes, and different materials (foam, metal, rubber, and wood). The Tib Factory’s slant board keeps it simple with a one-piece fully assembles design; the approach angle and overall width feels great for stretching and getting that deep squats; and the grip tape feels amazing and adds more feeling of stability to an already structurally-sound design. I wish I had never bought the other slants that I have, but at least I have a door-stop for every room in my house 😂

Thanks for putting this together! Definitely an affordable approach! I would do this if I had plates on hand for sure. For those that have some light kettlebells, like me, you can get tib raises in with a buckled/lashing strap ($10). Wrap the strap around each horn, stick your foot in, and secure behind your foot/shoe. The only weight limit is whatever the buckle is rated for! I’m currently doing this with a 20# kb. Works well for both tib curls and hip flexor raises. No fuss with wrapping voodoo floss around a dumbbell! Edit: secure behind ankle*

On the single leg tib bar, what do you mean by: ''Make sure to start with a lower weight (2.5 to 5 lbs for ankles and 5 to 10lbs for tibs) ''... what ankles? Is there an ankle exercise I dont know about?
@ThePetieProject3 жыл бұрын
Straight up and down for tibialis. If you add any side to side rotation you will get the ankles and sides of your lower legs more. The rotational exercises are more challenging so start with lower weight that a standard tib raise and make sure the rotation is coming from the ankle rather than the knee. Even if you just do standard tib raises with the tib solo you will get extra stability work since you will have to actively keep it balanced so it doesn't tip side to side as you go up and down. Hope this helps!

Would a standard collar used on a olympic bar work on the tibfactory tib bar?
@ThePetieProject3 жыл бұрын
A standard collar has the potential to slip. It's very close to the exact size but a tiny bit smaller. I have seen a few people modify their tib blaster with tape wrapped around the shaft so that an Olympic collar will grip. I find that the hitch pin works great and with all of the different settings you can find one that will keep the weights secure without it feeling "sloppy".

How many sets and reps would you recommend and should you do the exercise everyday
@ThePetieProject3 жыл бұрын
I personally directly train my tibs 2 times a week! I do 3 sets anywhere from 10 to 20 reps depending on the weight that I'm using and don't work until complete failure, but do get into a range where it burns. This would be highly personalized depending on what type of training you respond best to, what your goals are, and what is going on in the rest of your programming/training. I wouldn't recommend doing them every day if you are working until fatigue or failure. I would only implement them daily if you are doing something more along the lines of a grease the groove protocol. If you are pushing until fatigue, 2 to 3 times a week should be the sweet spot. Hope this helps!

How does the tib blaster deal with more than 50 lbs?
@ThePetieProject3 жыл бұрын
I haven't tested it until absolute failure. 50lbs is the highest I've tested as most people won't go past that. I currently use different rep schemes in the 20 to 30 lb range and the burn is real! I'm 6'3" 200lbs for reference.

@@ThePetieProject I'm 6'5 210 and I can do 50 lbs. Just annoying attaching a dumbbell with a floss band
@ThePetieProject3 жыл бұрын
I agree that the floss band work around gets very old. I think if you've been using dumbells with a floss band, you'll find that the Tib Blaster hits a little different. It's definitely harder because the weights are further away from your feet. You get a better stretch in the bottom and it's more challenging than using the equivalent weight of dumbells attached to your feet.

The Tib Blaster has been tested up to 50lbs for reps. I haven't actually tested it until the breaking point as I think it could hold more, but want to make sure I am keeping people in a range that is safe. I am curious how you tested your max weight. If it's with dumbells or a kettlbell, The Tib Blaster is going to be substantially harder at the same weight since the weights are further away from your feet. Glad you are finding ways to train your tibialis with or without The Tib Blaster!

Do you have a DIY Monkey Foot?

I use a couple of Velcro ankle straps connected with a carabiner when I do hip flexor lifts and it works great! I don't have a video on it but have considered refining it and making a DIY video in the future.

Will the plates in planet fitness work?

I'm not sure if Planet Fitness has Olympic Weights. The hole sizing is based around Olympic Weights which have a 2 inch diameter opening.

@@strangerwardrobe1352 Yes, most barbell exercises in commercial gyms will be with Olympic weights and an Olympic Barbell. I've never been to Planet Fitness so I'm not sure what they have. I'm sure someone that works there could help you figure it out!

Carriers have really raised their rates over the past few year with so much demand for online shopping. I am charging a flat rate of $15 shipping anywhere in the contiguous United States for The Tib Blaster. I encourage you to build your own if this is outside of your budget!

All Tib Blasters ship within one week of the order being placed. All shipments are UPS standard ground which takes 1 to 5 days depending on your proximity to NC.
