100% it’s easy do. Follow your service manual if you don’t have one give your local Harley a call for details if you can’t find them online. If you get stuck let me know and I’ll help you out

What year is your sportster mine is 2006, has a belt drive . Hard to find anything on that exactly

Mine is a 2006 as well. Google/forums will be your best friend in finding info. Even call your local Harley and see if they can give you the info, most of them will be more than happy to help you out
