I use a 1/4 vacuum hose when doing the valve lapping, I attach one end to the drill and the other to the valve, gives it a little wiggle room, love the videos, good stuff

I did my valves with a valve suction cup tool. That 5hp Briggs ran great. 😁 If I were upgrading my 5.7 cam I'd sure be doing springs and lifters. I actually replaced all my springs with the engine in the car (had an exhaust spring break) using the Snap On compressor tool. Made it a snap.

Is there no need to measure install height cause it seems like some folks just pop off the old spring and put the new one in😭 HELP

@@FrostbiteRam I appreciate that luckily last night I figured out the math equations I think for coil bind and stuff so I think I’ll be good. I got a comp cam with .632/.619 And the valve springs i ordered are .650 from btr so i think im okay🤞🏾

@hemi_dirt yeah,as long as your camshaft says works with stock pistons then you shouldn't have to worry about it.
