Forgot you push stick. Took the time to find it. Still puts hand directly over the blade.

8:42. Well, you will need that when you cut your first bevel. Anyhow, amazing tips. Thanks so much.

Why the hell he's searching for the push stick while 2s later he’s pushing the material with his (currently remaining five) fingers directly into the saw blade? Weird.

Yeah, I know the KZbin safety police can be a little overboard sometimes, but this is some pretty sketchy table saw use.

I've Actually Been Wanting To Do One For My Miter Saw. Good Tip On The Tape

Nice tutorial. You kept it simple and to the point. I made a ZCI for my 12-inch Bosch and went to the extra effort to make the center of it replaceable by plowing out a sliding dovetail channel that will receive a piece of 1/4-inch ply or hardboard. I don't have to replace it often but it is handy if you're like me and occasionally get sloppy and deflect the axial arm on a cut or if you do occasional compound miters. I made 5 or 6 center replacements so if a need one it's just a couple minutes to replace it instead of the 30 minutes or so it would take to remake the entire ZCI, and that would be IF I happen to have the 1/2-inch Baltic birch to do it on hand. My closest source is 45 minutes away. When I get down to my last center replacement it will just be a few minutes of setup on the table saw to make several more.

That is a great idea! I was going to make a few versions but not to that extent . I think having the middle replaceable is a huge upgrade
@kevinproefrock4857Ай бұрын
Just a tip, but after you shaped that piece you should save it as a template to make future versions using a pattern bit. When you go to make bevel cuts you’re going to end up hogging out a bunch of material and you’ll want to toss a new one in there.

There oblong shaped hole for the screws (in the original plastic insert) that allow you to loosen the screws, and you can move both sides inward towards the blade, and tighten the screws. This should give you a zero clearance effect.

The factory inserts are adjustable and can become zero clearance. Then re-adjusted for bevels. But still a good video.

But why? I own the same Bosch Professional but then the new 18v but if you look good you see that you don't have to make a zero clearance insert because with this saw you can adjust the original inserts to zero.... 🤔🤔

A little bit of concern. When you were cutting your piece on the table saw. You had your blade up to high. Should only have your teeth showing. It cuts way better and fast. Your fingers and your wrist got so close. This is a cool youtube video. I found on safety tips. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn3ZiaWjgbGpgdU

Why bother making a video if too lazy to use the right tools?
@gregandmellissastephens1662 жыл бұрын
That was a useless comment unless you are then going to show what those right tools would be and how to use them on this project.
