I just found your channel and I was looking for someone to show me how to apply kitchen counter contact paper and, there you were! Not only am I inspired to do this project but I love other ideas you have come up with. I said to myself "she must have majored in home interior, engineering, etc... When you said you have no professional training in completing your projects, I was hyped. Thank you so much.

That bar front is fantastic! ditto for the board and batten wall. Hooray for Command Strips! But your landlord isn't going to want you to take it down when you leave. They'll be able to rent the place for double!

I'll add that while you don't need to ask permission to do it in the first place, you should always ask your landlord before you move out if they want to keep it the way you made it (as it's usually way better), and save them the effort of doing the upgrade. Plus, as in the case of the floors, it adds another layer tenants can mess up them bam, just remove it if/when they do! I was nervous at first, but they have told me to leave my projects as-is every time. Saves me a lot of hassle on move-out, and I ALWAYS get my deposit back! (Part of that being a letter thanking them for my time there, reminding them gently of our state requirements for deposit return, letting them know I have move-in and move-out pics if they would like to review them, and letting them know where to send the check).

@GadgetsGearCoffee2 жыл бұрын
Those wood strips, you out command tapes on it but I fail to see how you'll remove it without ruining your wall. Command tapes ONLY work if you have some pressure on the sticky part and pull on the tab that has no glue until you stretch and weaken the entire thing and it comes off. Failing to follow this properly will indeed cause much damage to the walls (nothing plaster and paint can't fix). But then, might as well use nail guns to patch a tiny hole instead. How do you intend to remove all these command strips without damaging the walls? I don't even see the pull tabs stick out. Are they the velcro kind? Have you removed some of those wood panels without damaging?
@DIYDalia2 жыл бұрын
these are the Velcro type command strips. when you pull the panel off the wall one side of the strip sticks to the panel and the other sticks to the wall. then you can pull the tab of the strip on the wall.

Let me begin by saying what an awesome space you've created with your two hands and your brain. Everything is wonderful! But I have a small difficulty though and please, don't take this as a criticism. I don't criticize! I merely express my opinion in the hope of stimulating the thought-process of the person to whom I speak. So here goes: While I admire the pieces you've built I wasn't getting enough of them. What do I mean? In the video the camera was focused on you way too much. You talked sufficiently about each item but the camera focused on you rather than on the item you were describing. Now don't get me wrong, facially, you are a most beautiful and pretty lady, and it would be such a joy to sit down at a classy restaurant table, peering into your beautiful eyes. But on this occasion it was not about you; it was about the items you created and I feel that as one of your viewers, I needed to see a lot more of the items. Perhaps you could take a look at the video again and decide whether or not I have a point. In spite of what I've said, I decided to "subscribe" and "like" your video, so that I'll get to see future projects on which you will work. Blessings to you and all those you love.

The most talented Dalia! I think all of the projects are wonderful and not just for renters. I like how a homeowner can benefit from every project because you can change it up anytime without a major construction project. I love them all but I'm partial to the backsplash and the island as these I want to tackle myself- and I now am not afraid to do so! Happy New Year and looking forward to seeing what you have planned for 2023!!!! 🌴🦩☀️😊☺️❤️🥰❤️
