For some reason, my remote was very difficult to open, I tried sticking sharp objects into the slot, nothing worked. I dropped it on my kitchen floor from holding it high, and that opened it, didn’t break the whole thing, and it worked. My batteries are changed. I don’t have to order a new remote from Amazon.

I have this remote delivered today can't open it so upsetting. Just used sticking tape put on it and pull it down so easily slide it off

BS, anyone can change the batteries if they can get it open. Thanks for doing the hard part too fast to see which way you're flipping it around and where you are pressing and which way you're pushing. Sheesh.

i was having trouble with that too if you havent figured out by now try and put your fingernail in the little gap between the top of the remote and the cover and push down it worked for me

Mine doesn't have arrows or that flip thing. The back has a solar panel. Beneath the solar panel is a small sun symbol and a small battery symbol. That's it.

If your back is stuck its because your remote is dirty. I had to scrape out the opening seam and then use rubbing alcohol before I banged the remote on my coffee table before it loosened enough to open. I then deep cleaned it with more scrapping and alcohol after it was open to make sure it didn't get glued shut again. All your body oil, skin shedding, food grease, lotion have glued it shut.

😂 these comments are hilarious! Yeah, looks likes using a brand spanking new remote. Not one that's got 10 years worth of crumbs, dead skin, who knows what else gumming up the that tiny little gap. Luckily there was a set if tiny screwdrivers next to the new batteries in the junk drawer and I just used the smallest flat head to crack it open a bit.
