This video is helpful for up and coming dj's. As a senior by a decade I can't do it on the laptop alone. I still prefer having the ability to scratch and tweaking with them knobs with the presence of cdj's, midi controllers and turntables. Good tutorial though. Keep it up. 👊👍

This was a fun lesson on using your laptop and dj software. That's what I learn to DJ in the 1st place when I was using the Free Virtual Dj software before the pro but it did get the job done before I upgrade to the begin dj controller and then to the pro dj controller make sure y'all support Dj Carlo very down to earth dj show love and support.

I use just the laptop alot to prepare sets and figure out new music, that way I can relax and do it wherever. You could def still rock it with just a laptop. Sometimes the shift and space bar don't work though, so I use w and s.

DJ Carlo Atendido, I'm 25 and just now getting serious about DJ'ing now that I've finally been able to afford equipment. I've watched alot of dope DJ's through KZbin. One thing that confuses me though is the Red Bull competition entry videos. It's low-key annoying because no one is explaining how these DJ's create these out of the world, technical, and great sets. The main thing that gets me is hearing these sets but trying to figure out how they are loading each song to each platter to be mixed. I know since I've started you can physically observe me searching for the next song but it's the opposite when I see these advanced DJ's. It's almost as if they have it setup where maybe the software or their mixer automatically loads the next song ― lol idk that's my only guess. So I thought I'd come to you since you break things down for us beginner DJ's. Could you maybe start a tutorial series on how to build a set for a competition so we can understand what goes into it? Or maybe respond by comment to this chinscratcher? 🤔 That'd be dope if you did. 👊😎

If you can afford a laptop you can Dj, I used to use OLD Pentium 4 computers in the 90's to trigger music, these days laptops are slick and fast. So saying consoles are helpful! But Dj'ing can happen from a phone and I've used my phone for practice, planning sets or just fun. Ideally though quality quality and more quality should be your goal and a laptop.....yeah nah get a console.

So many knobs and faders need to be adjusted - for many times "at once" -, it's even hard to manage it with real buttons you can crank by hand, i see it impossoble to do that in a software with a mouse. Not to mention the accuracy. My answer's definitely no. Surely you can, do super easy things happen, but it won't that as it should be.

Sir Can We Access almost same workflow on laptop? I mean, I've seen in videos that things like filter knobs, effects, selecting them and tweaking and changing takes almost no time on gears, for obvious reasons, it's present physically in front of you, But how can that be done on laptops?? That's one thing that downgrades me. Multitasking is not so easy on laptops. Being a beginner, I Use virtual Dj, So how to maximise workflow???? And the tutorials really amazing
