Heavier ammo drops off slower till you reach the cap of the air volume nice neat demo of that fact.

Hi DK. Really helpful video. When it comes to defense, I completely agree that 15 ft is when you need to be prepared to defend yourself. Do you prescribe to a selection of heavy weight projectiles and pepper gas balls? If so, do you happen to have any intel on how long a pepper gas ball can sit in a cartridge before the potency level is reduced?

@@christophercolwell7540 I like jul V3s, 9.9/10g riot balls and either Duke or Grimburg chemical round because they are tougher to break in the launcher. The Grimburgs can handle 50 joules😁. I'm not sure on the shelf life of any of them though.

Great video. Can you tell me where to purchase a gauge for measuring the diameter of.68 cal balls, like the one you sent to Greg at East Coast Less Lethel?. Thanks.
When i got the bryna I was highly disappointed that it was too technical for me or pretty much most ppl to disassemble and maintain. That being said, it's still been the most reliable less lethal I've had. It still has the best form and function for .68 on the market, if only the entire first mag was 20+ joules. Byrna if you're reading this do an upgrade plan to service existing launchers to acceptable LL power we don't need another 500 dollar cardboard hole puncher.

Yes of course a 9.9 gram is going to beat a 3 gram round. A 3 gram round can't even buck the the wind but a 9.9 will not be a 6-8 gram round at distance if they are identical size and shape.
@DK-SpencerАй бұрын
@@Spartan_Tactical Not according to the laws of physics and ballistics, but don't take my word for it. Think about it though, if that's the case, at what weight does physics and ballistics change? The more weight you have, the less it's affected by the atmosphere and the more energy it carries. Mass carries energy. So, more mass equals more energy conserved. Not sure why 8 would beat 9.9. gravity pulls down, but it doesn't cause slowing. Moving through the air does, so, Will an 8-gram be affected as much as the 3.7, no. But the laws of physics don't change so you're still going to preserve more energy with 9.9 versus 8.

@@DK-Spencer There is 1000% a point when that round is to light which 3-4 grams is to light but there is a point that a round becomes to heavy which 9.9 grams is to heavy. 3 months ago I would have agreed but I got schooled. The rounds you tested are not the same bore size either which distorts the outcome by alot.
@DK-SpencerАй бұрын
@Spartan_Tactical Sorry, but just right here you are wrong because, yes, these are the same bore size. That's why I used those specifically. I've shown multiple tests of different kinds on this topic, gel penetration, damage in metal, etc. I have a master's in science and understand ballistics and physics very well and have have decades under my belt in both. I'll gladly listen if you want to actually explain so I can repeat whatever test you are taking about for myself, but you just telling me someone schooled you means nothing to me. I've seen a lot of people schooling people that both parties had no clue what they were taking about. I've shown proof in multiple vids, do the same or I'll just agree to disagree. If something is scientifically sounds, it can be repeated by others. That's part of the rules. So, tell me specifically how you were schooled other than just being told something, cause frankly, I trust me more than just about anyone I know when it comes to ballistics and physics.

I'm afraid that some ppl think the intrubuster negates the science but I think a 3 gram ball going 33 j will still be stopped by a puffy coat.
