This is an awesome video, thank you. I can't wait to take this beast hiking.

Thank you! This video helped me understand the battery life and recording settings before I deploy this camera for it's first timelapse assignment!

Bro you know exactly whats up with this video and thanks man for this review about time lapse itself, its pretty nice how you went on depth like you said on your video. You know exactly whats up bro i like how you broke down the time lapse from 2seconds interval from 6 hours into 6 minutes, i was using my logic since i tested my dji cam for 3 hours and it gave me a stunning 3 minute video time lapse video with beautiful 4k resolution. Thank you very much for this helpful video! i hope your channel grows! I will definitely subscribe

I found this really interesting. Was looking for this kind of information. SO basically I need an action camera just for the timelapse which is weather proof. But I couldn't find any information or video regarding timelapse time. What do you think ? I mean is it worth buying the 128gb version or go for go pro compact.

Hi! Please tell me, the collected data that is stored in the camera based on the results of recording in time lapse mode is a set of photographs taken with an interval of 2 seconds, which can be downloaded from the camera’s memory card, or is it a ready-made video series

Friend, I'm from Brazil and I'm grateful for your analysis. can you share the finished video with us? and I have some questions, did you record as video or video + Raw or even video + jpeg? if you can make a video teaching in practice the configuration part in the camera. again thanks for sharing knowledge.
@RamonvanBedaf132 жыл бұрын
Hi, I record video + raw (just as a backup, generally I don't use the raw files).

Thank you, very useful information! I just wonder if the battery life would be better with higher intervals? That would have been a great test also.
@RamonvanBedaf132 жыл бұрын
I did a short single test with this, but it didn't have that much of an impact. I think it's mainly the time to keep the camera on and recording that drains most battery life (saving and processing the image every x time does use a little power, so it is to be expected that you end up with shorter times). I could have mentioned that I guess ^^

hi! can you attache an external powerbank to use with dji action 2 camera directly to extend time? will it charge and record simultaneously?
@RamonvanBedaf135 ай бұрын
Hi, Yes that is exactly what I did to reach those extended times! And also yes, you can keep switching between camera power and powerbank attached, as soon as you attach a powerbank it will keep recording and charge the camera module first back to 100%.

Dear sir, Im not expert in timelapse but could we get all the individual picture from the shoot instead of having a video with this action 2 camera?
@RamonvanBedaf132 жыл бұрын
Hey, for the timelapse there are three output formats that you can choose; "video", "video + jpeg" and "video + raw".

Thanks a lot for all the infos! Is it possible to shoot a Timelapse taking RAW images instead of a 4K video?
@RamonvanBedaf132 жыл бұрын
Hey, as far as I know it's not possible to record a timelapse without video. Within the timelapse settings there are 3 output formats 1 video 2 video + jpeg 3 video + raw If I switch to video + raw or video + jpeg I lose the option for 0,5 and 1sec interval timelapses (only 2 seconds and above, probably because of processing and storage). I didn't give it much attention but I might have to look into this further and test some things, as it is hard to give you a clear answer at the moment of what is possible with what setting. (I also checked the settings with the former and the current firmware as I had to do the update anyway and there are no changes visible to me.)
@RamonvanBedaf132 жыл бұрын
Just did a short test, when you set it to Video + RAW you get the regular MP4 video file and there is a "Timelapse" folder created one level higher in the DCIM folder this contains folders with names corresponding to the video file name. And it is filled with .DNG files, a bit strange though that you need to make a video, and that there is no option to take photos on an interval to create your own timelapse (but hey it's and action camera).
