I bought the Air 2 three weeks ago, and as soon as I watched this video, I posted the Air 2 for sale, to buy the “Air 2S” and the Air 2 wasn’t online for 15 mins, it sold immediately. Now I go to pick up the Air 2s tomorrow, right away. Love your in depth reviews, Right On The Money!

14:00 I actually think you nailed it when you said if dji added the aperture adjustment, you wouldn't have to buy ANY OTHER DRONE. Something you know they thought of and said, "Let's not compete with ourselves TOO much and leave that feature out so we still sell our other drones. I know you mentioned you wish remote recorded audio but I believe there is a setting which allows you to record voice from your phone while recording video. Hope this was helpful.

Honest opinion: I’ve given up on watching tech reviews like this from big KZbinrs and filmmakers, because they are basically all the same and go into 0 depth. You rock man! Love the humor and the details you talk about. Showing the focus and dof helps those guys that are not photographers understand it better. This is a great little drone. The only drawback I see at all is the fixed aperture. Nailing the exact ND in a quick crunch could be a drag.

4:17 That's a dolly effect. Famous for being used in a scene in the original "Jaws" movie. You move the camera away while you zoom in so that your subject remains the same size while the background gets closer and bigger.

11:20 Gene this was already available on the Mavic Pro en maybe even the Phantom drones. The audio gets recorded on your phone via its microphone. It is a bit more work, since the audio is only on the drone cache clips on your phone. But then you can match the clip from your phone to the clip on the SD-card.

One solution for audio while flying is to turn on cache to phone and make sure if there is an option for recording the audio from the phone that it is turned on as well. Then you can use the audio from the clip recorded to your phone and attach it to the better video shot onto the memory card in the drone.

Actually your note about the microphone in the rc is handy even for taking notes , sometimes you take 6 or 7 takes and it takes forever to find the right one in post , a simple mic can solve alot 👍🏻

If you take the SD out of the smart controller you will have the audio from the mic on the controller. I love this feature you just have to match it with the drone card because that video will be 1080 and the drone card will be at the designated resolution you set.

Not in the least bit excited for the 2S but way more excited to consider a DJI Pocket 3 with a 1 inch sensor since DJI tends to pair them together and leap frog them. In the order of Mavic Air/OSMO Pocket, Air 2/Pocket2. So lets hope for 2S/Pocket 3 to continue the tradition of sharing the same sensor. And with that Moaz screen competition, lets see if DJI will use that accessory port to include a flippy screen and a 1 inch sensor!!!!

I think the microphone in the controller could definitely be an update in the app. They could just hijack your phone's microphone and then sync the audio with the clip in their own software since it should be already timestamped to the flight.

11:22 it can do something like that but the footage is in the dji cache of your phone, it record the sound from your phone mic... but cache footage is low res... But if dji can transmit video from the drone to the remote it can surely transmit audio on the same tech
