air 2s has a sony chip, mini 4 pro has some noname chinesium with a wrong aspect ratio and less horizontal resolution. That explains it all.

And since I gonna color correct all fotages I wonder is it possible to correct the Mini 4 pro footages to be on par with Air 2S? Anybody can tell me? (Those unrealistic Mini 4 colors mightbe the result of camera correction. no?)

Air 2s shoots much better. Probably because of the larger sensor size.

mini 4 seems to overexpose more , air2 s have a better render in low light situation. anyway it's a fantastic drone the mini 4

Yeah. Really can’t go wrong with either drone but that’s definitely what I also took away as a conclusion after doing all this testing. Also the M4P always seemed to be more magenta shifted than the Air 2S.

That’s a tough one. Was talking about this with my friend who’s a wedding videographer. He has the Air 2 currently and is thinking of upgrading to the Air 3 or Mini 4 Pro. My current advice is that unless aerial videography is a big part of your offering (which for most wedding videographers it isn’t) that the small size and quieter noise of the M4P is more beneficial than the slight increase in quality with the Air 2S or Air 3. So unless you can get a really good deal on the Air 2S I’d go for the Mini 4 Pro.

Normal mode for both and left the Mini 4 Pro sharpness set to default (though I know some people set it to -1 for a slightly less over sharpened look).

Too much contrast and saturation on the mini pro4, it's almost like its trying to hard to overcompensate for the smaller sensor. Air 2s is still holding it's own a little bit better on image and video quality, although I would say not by much, the difference is still noticeable.

All adjustable. Shoot in d-log if you really want to control every color detail.

Air2S all the way. Most reviewers try to say the M4P is better but it's clear to see it's not.

Air 2s capture image as it is the same color as actual unlike M4 like there are a lot of AI modifying colors of the objects

I fly the Air 2S (up until the other day when it finally crashed) and just bought the Mini 4 Pro. My take... if you want something good straight from the camera without much post processing (for stills), the the Mini 4 Pro is great. But you can't beat a 1" sensor. With more involved work, the Air 2S I think beats out the M4P by a hair. But they are also not in the same league. Hopefully the Air 3S is a worthy upgrade with a 1" sensor.

Mini 4 pro just tries to correct to much with the color algorithm. I will take my Air 2s any day of the mini 4 pro.

I don’t know which is faster, but this is an easy win for the Mini 4 Pro simply for the fact that its expanded tilt-up range of the camera allows it to take truly 360° photos where the Air 2S and other drones (Mavic 3, Mavic 2 Pro, Mini 2, etc) all had an area of the sky they couldn’t see which the only solution was to fill in with a blurred blue color.

I personally think that neither have active track I’d trust that much, but the Mini 4 Pro is definitely better with its 360 obstacle awareness so I’d go with that. Either way, make sure to get DJI Care Refresh for in case it crashes.

a2s looks much more natural way. Mini4 pro as well as Air3 looks way to processed for me. like iphone13, 14, 15 HDR a bit too flat (in the way to less contrast!) i thought I would never say that. ;d

In this video it seems to show a bit better footagez but a bit of color grading and post editing with something like davinci resolve will take care of that

I find the images really lousy with the Mini 4Pro. For me the 2S is much better. The image is less soft and the 1-inch sensor of the 2S takes over. On the waterfall the images from the Mini 4 Pro are really ugly, full of chromatic aberration.

Agreed. On first glance it looks brighter though. But both will be looking good with some editing in something like davinci resolve for example
