This is by far one of best Hyper Lapse vids I've seen. there is so much going on in such a short video, all the traffic, and construction (which was really cool by it's self ). Good job Marcus!!

@@IdahoQuadcopter when you do a course look video, after locking in the heading, you can also select an object on the screen. The drone will yaw and adjust the camera angle as needed to keep that object in the center of the screen as it flies by.

The tech that is available from DJI is just amazing. Whenever I watch a hyperlapse I am always amazed that there aren't more traffic accidents then there are! A quick and easy way to do that hyperlapse you did is to use Course Lock. Point the drone in the direction that you want it to fly. Lock the course by touching the lock icon. Yaw the drone around 90 degrees and then start the video. It will follow the track you wanted and automatically fly sideways to do it. I like to set the course and then rotate the drone 180 degrees. You get the video going away. I'm starting to know Meridian like a native. I spotted Dutch Brothers coffee shop and Slim Chickens! What always strikes me as unusual is that all the roofs in that area are the same color! As far as I can see they are the same slate grey. An HOA mandate? Thanks for another fun video!
@IdahoQuadcopter Жыл бұрын
As for the roofs, I'm betting that grey is the cheapest type of shingle. 😀 Thank you for the course lock tip Fred! 👍

Marcus, The Hyperlapse looked great. Awesome spot to try it out at as well. I have not played with Hyperlapse on my end because most of what I fly is rural and wouldn't capture a lot of motion. Maybe I can get a tractor baling hay or something. I do want to try it so next time Im in a congested area I'll have to give it a go. Thanks as always for sharing. Really appreciate it. Have a great day and fly safe.

Marcus, as always, so well done 👍. Your videos are always informative, right to the point and just an overall pleasure to watch, especially how you explain things as you go along. The hyperlapse was awesome. Costco needs to license that footage from you for their advertising (although we all already know how busy their stores are). The construction going on in the foreground was pretty cool too. If you’re ever in the Chicago area, give me a shout. Would love to fly with you. Tons of cool places here to shoot.

Hey Marcus, I’m interested in how you do your data/content offloading. Do you use a PC or Mac? Are you having any issues recording screen recordings directly to an SD card on the RC2, etc?
@IdahoQuadcopter Жыл бұрын
I use a PC and download them from the RC not the SD card.
@scottstein381 Жыл бұрын
@@IdahoQuadcopter Thanks! FYI, when you plug the RC2 into a Mac, the drives do not mount (like they do with the Air 3.) To get a screen recording onto a Mac you must first “move” the file to the SD card, then move the SD card to the Mac and upload. Kinda a hassle. DJI should at least allow us to record directly to the SD card.
