When comparing gopro and dji fpv audio you can instantly tell the Air unit audio has a poor bitrate, a low quality mic and filtered sound with no low frequency or high frequency devoid of the detailed flying air pressure sounds. Maybe if we bug DJI over at their forum they will improve the filtering and bitrate along with adding live flight realtime audio streaming.

Just watched this video again and had an idea. What if you run the Air unit without the case, record and tap in different locations till you hear where it is closest to?

Question: do you know if the middle pin connector on the air unit is the same as the vista pin connector? The connector I'm talking about is the middle connector that connects both boards together

Hello thanks for the teardown. Do you think I can use the air unit without the enclosure? Perhaps wrap the two halfs in a heat-shrink tube and use two heat sinks.

Thanks. now, you seem to suggest that the plug, ribbon, cable from the camera to the Air Unit is HDMI Is it ? I ask, because like thousands of other people that own DJI Goggles, I would love to have a HDMI feed from my PC to the Goggles (not the sad AV feed) If you could feed HDMI from a PC into the Air Unit (with a small cooling fan) we could have wireless HD feed into the Goggles is it possible ?
