One thing I've seen in a couple leaks is the internal storage on the 2 says 40 g and 1 is n/a. But the original does have internal storage. 19 gigs I think

Yes, that was a mistake. The original AVATA has 20GB of internal storage. 👍

Interesting that the fly more combo with three total batteries is $200 more than the fly more combo with 2 total batteries. Must be a mistake, as the intelligent flight batteries are likely less than $200 each. (Never mind, the "Fly More" combo has 1 battery total. And the other Fly More combo has 3 total. I wonder why it's called fly more combo if it only has one battery total.)

Typically DJI calls it the 'Fly More Combo' because it includes more than just the drone. Normally their "COMBO" deals include a remote controller, Goggles, and a few other things. Battery quantities will vary (always gotta read the fine print). Actually just went back to the "ABT" website and shortly after I posted this video it looks like they took down the information. We'll, I see some of the listings still but can no longer add them to your cart or click on them to see all the detailed information. It was up since early Saturday (04-06-2024) but my internet was down so wasn't able to post the video until late in the day Sunday (04-07-2024). Was trying to get this video up sooner....had a feeling they would be tearing it down.

I saw some dimension specs someplace (but can't find them at the moment). However, I just posted a side-by-side comparison image on my KZbin "COMMUNITY" tab if you want to check it out and you'll be able to see the size difference between the two drones.

@@RGMGFitness Thank you, I checked it and found the dimension, it is 180*216*82mm. So it will be 31.6mm larger than the Avata 1 which will make a quite difference to fly in tiny spaces

Looking at the "FAQ" page for the DJI Goggles 3 it looks like they'll work 'currently' with; DJI Avata 2, DJI Air 3 and DJI Mini 4 Pro. Looks like your in good shape!

FYI: I just looked on the "DJI Store". The 'DJI Avata Explorer Combo" is showing for $829.00 (USD) right now...everything else shows as; "Out of Stock' on the DJI Store for the original Avata. The Avata (vs1) only was showing for $629.00, but again out of stock. Pricing will certainly drop with the release of the Avata 2 which we expect to come in around $489.00 (US). We'll know soon enough.

DJI FPV Goggles 3 and DJI FPV Goggles v3. What is the difference between those 2?

Honestly, not sure what that’s about. Maybe a typo or still rumored google’s yet to be launched. Unclear to me as well..sometimes I wish the names were more unique because it’s easy to mis-speak about a specific goggle type or version.

Any specs on the noise ? The Avata is fairly noisy, anyone know how Avata 2 compares?

Based on the 3 prop solution on the newer Avata 2 we're all anticipating the noise levels with improve in this newer version. The original Avata (vs1) had 5 props which did make it a louder drone. I don't believe I've seen the actual dB levels listed to date. Found one pic of the Avata 2 box that says '81dB'...but not sure if it's a real Avata 2 retail box so don't quote me.

Some error in this video...avata 1 have 20gb of internal storage, max speed of avata 2 are wrong in manual because it class c1 and cant go faster than 19m/s. More flight time and less time charge and 65w...it fliy in 3s maybe?

I'm looking at the DJI website. The specs on the original Avata are as follows....Avata 2 specs look right in line with that so think we're good. But yes, your correct....I'm seeing 20GB of storage on the original Avata from the DJI Website. Personally, I always use an external card but good catch. Avata (Original) Max Speed 8 m/s (Normal Mode) 14 m/s (Sport Mode) 27 m/s (Manual Mode)

Could be it's limited to 19 m/s in EASA countries, but not outside, where the C1 classification would mean nothing anyway. Like the Mavic 3 is limited to 19 m/s here in Europe vs. 21 m/s everywhere else. Now for the Mavic 3, that difference is negligible, but for the Avata, it would limit its usability very much here...

Don't forget this drone will be pumped full of flying restrictive software. And DJI still on the hot seat for being banned in USA. Do yourself a favor and buy a 5" BNF or build it yourself with HD of your liking. You will be able to buy any battery you want and not be restricted to DJI batteries!

It seems that with the Avata 2, you simply enable turtle mode. Then when the drone detects that it is upside down, it automatically flips itself.

Go to 2:15 in the video. The AVATA 2 will be faster in Sport Mode. 👍
